If your getting ME 79 then its mechanical problem ,or hard ware failure in the printer remove the cartridges check the for any obstruction in the path where the paper feeds and also if the rollers work ,if not then it must serviced ..

Good luck....

Isopropyl alcohol can be used see also there is two small gears in the rear of the fuser that drive the fuser exit roller.

You can try some alcohol with water in it to try to get it off the roller. You will have to remove the fuser assemly out of the copier and clean the rollers. Make sure it is completely cooled down. I don't know if the the fuser cover has screws on it to remove it to get to the rollers. It it doesn't you will have to get a new fuser roller assmebly. T-shirt transfers require heat and they will lift off of the fuser rollers. You might want to look into using ink jet based transfers in the future.

That might be a fuser error code you are getting. Your going to save yourself a lot of trouble by simply replacing the fuser assembly.

Here is the info on the fuser:

    http://www.precisionroller.com/find/lj71...

It is an assembly. So if something is bad with it, that whole thing needs to be replaced. You could try getting in there to clean them out isopropyl alcohol and a qtip.

See where the paper comes out to get to it. Usually you have to disassemble a few covers to get it (depending on the model).

If the Avery had melted inside you need to take off the drum unit, and gain access to part of the assembly underneath.

Depending on where the paper has melt, you may need to remove the external casing and partially disassemble the unit.

You can apply a greese material on the rollers and rub it with your hands on the rollers manually then apply isoprophyll to clean that greese material from the rollers.or other wise taking it to the repair center for internal cleaning as its not all easy to open the printer withour proper tools.

How can I get my Avery 8876 business card sheets to feed through my printer?

Avery is a fairly good name in the business.Brother on the other hand seems to have ignored the reasons why folks don't buy brothers. It's these little annoying things that bigger company's have spent time and energy on. For one there's usually a lever you push to control how much pressure the two fusing rollers push; hot rollers, for years this perplexed the big guys because there all ready is a pretty small tolerance of melting the toner and not burning the paper; melting the toner(powered plastic) next was the ever annoying OHP overhead projector sheets. this is plastic toner on plastic"paper" nightmare! melt the toner but not the plastic its on.... Well enough of engineering issues, time and perseverance paid off. now comes a sticky label on a waxxy surface that is twice as thick as paper and yet has toner to be fixed on it and dried....Some company's like cannon tried a cold roller that seemed to work at first but when things went bad they really went bad.labels coming off all in the wrong places... Toshiba and Savin Ricoh decided to get with Avery and others and make one side harder to come off than the other; reduce the squeeze pressure and increase the opposite "static cling" voltage. Also the angle it hit the feed section// Bypass feed only/Lt-R. Following the printed directions in the individual label sheet seemed to reduce the issue to a minimum. Understanding all the changes the poor piece has to go go through in an 8second processes is half the battle. hope this helps a smidge~~~SC

Is Canon PIXMA IP1800 can handle T-Shirt Transfer Paper? if it can, what kind of transfer paper that will be good for IP1800?

There are several brands of T-Shirt transfer paper out there, and all are designed to work with InkJet printers just like yours. Personally I've used the Avery brand sheets, and they are widely available at local stores like WalMart, Staples, OfficeMax, etc.

I've also provided a link to the sheets available for online purchase from Amazon.com -

My wife tried to print on T-Shirt tranfers meant for ink-jet printers, and they melted onto the fuser roll, and it stinks. I need to remove the fuser assembly and clean it, but could use some instructions....

This might help. I did the same thing with my laserjet printer.
Staples has laserjet cleaning sheets. I ran several sheets through the printer after I pulled most of the transfer paper out.
The sheets are one use sheets so, you will need a few. They are impregnated with cleaning fluid on textured paper.
These sheets clean the entire paper travel path.

HP Laserjet 5P shading edges of page

This is probably due to a defective cartridge, Charge Roller or Transfer roller.

Check the cartridge for a band of toner still on the drum.

Check the Charge roller for oil or smudges, this roller should be a lighter color and should be relatively free of toner or marks.

Same as the Transfer Roll, which will be dark, though excess toner should be evident.

A relatively smooth straight line is generally the cartridge.

A rather wavey or broken line is most likely the rollers.

You can however attempt to print a large amount of pages (25-50) in an attempt to clean the parts, however if either part is defective they will need to be replaced and no manner of printing will clean them.

Printing dark tshirt transfers - can't override the flipped image

Hello I think I can help you. I Would not use T shirt transfer when you make up your print I would select poster print or any other form that does not automatically reverse the image. The reason your software is designed to do this is on the regular transfer paper your laying the image down on the shirt, so for it to come out right it has to be reversed. With the dark T shirt transfer paper your peeling off the backing and putting the image face up on the T Shirt.

I am using Avery T-shirt transfer paper. The man in the white uniform keeps printing green instead of white. I am putting this photot on a white t-shirt, printed from my HP Photo Smart D7360. After...

GREEN is a combination of Cyan and Yellow, although i would assume that all other colors are working fine if you can find a printing properties, and reduce the amount of cyan it would help you a bit until you have achieved your desired result.

otherwise you may have to recalibrate your printer to suit a perfect color matching
