Relisys projector will not show presentation from laptop

I have tried the F5 key and also have switched display to presentation the projector doesn't recognise the signal it seems as the laptop does change to the other monitor output. I have used the computer/s-video/video/dvi/ycpbr settings. The cable I am using is a hdmi one into the projector with red green and blue plugs and it is plugged into the monitor port on my laptop..

How to connect wonderwall projector to computer?

Connecting an External Monitor or Data Projector
You can switch to an external monitor or data projector by two methods. 1. Connect the external monitor to the laptop's video port, power up the external monitor first and the laptop. The video information will automatically switch to the external monitor. 2. If you power up the laptop first then you can switch the video output to the external monitor by pressing the Fn key and one of the Function keys, depending upon your make and model laptop. You can also toggle between the external monitor or both LCD screen plus the external monitor or back to LCD screen only by pressing the Fn key plus one of the function key a few times. Here is a list of key combinations for some of the laptops :- IBM ThinkPad = Fn + F7 HP and Compaq = Fn + F4 Toshiba = Fn + F5 Dell = Fn + F8

My hp compaq model 510 is not working with projector.projector is not working on this laptop plz provide a proper solution.

You are not providing enough information to help you.
Have you set the display to use an external monitor or dual monitor? That is how laptops work with projectors. You normally can set the system for dual display and either mirror the displays or use the second display (projector) for power point or other presentation.

If this does not fix the problem, post more information on why it is not working for you.

I want to presentation a power point but, when i display it on the projector, my lcd laptop be black and show nothing. what i am ding? thanks

Hi,

There is a key on the keyboard that is designed for external display. You need to press the Fn key and either F5 or F10 (depends on what key is it) simultaneously to toggle between displays.

If you've already pressed the combination but unsuccessful to get it work, try to adjust the resolution of the projector, you need to lower it down to get it work with the laptop. You can also try to lower the resolution of both displays.

Hope this helps.

I cannot get my lap top to show on the all with my projector

Laptop will often have a function key (usually F5) for cycling between built-in display, external monitor, and both. Try pressing F5. If that doesn't work and you have a "Fn" key (usually near the left Shift key) hold down Fn and press F5.

Need to connect my dell laptop to a large screen projector using a computer video interface for vga and compatible computers I have a delllatitude d610 the interface is an inline2080

I assume you know how to connect the VGA cable and which function key is used to activate the second display. You will have problems if the laptop display size is not supported by the projector. Many older projectors will not work with wide screen laptops.
when you connect the projector, Just press the presentation mode on your keyboard, Fn + (Presentation Key), Sometimes F5 or F8!

Then you will see your desktop on the projector screen.hope this helps

Need to see display on both laptop and projector

On most laptops pressing the Fn key plus the F5 key (in your model laptop) several times will cause the video to switch to different options
In the various laptops I've used with data projectors it is the same.
If you plug in the data projector and power it up then the laptop then the Windows image will be on the data projector (provided the laptop's screen resolution matches the data projector).
To toggle between the data projector only, the LCD screen, then LCD screen plus data projector, and or back through this sequence, just press the Fn key and the F5 key to get the displays you want .

Connecting cinego projector to hp laptop

don't know much about the cinego ( resolution ect)

but on most laptops you will have a "F" button or function key near the top row.. mine is F5 that has 2 square icons to show 2 monitors, 1 black, 1 white, when your projector is hooked to your laptop, hold down the FN key probably lower left or right, and tap the F5 or f7 which ever has the 2 montiors on it, it should be a 3 position switch, 1..laptop only, 2 laptop and projector, 3rd position projector only.

that cingo is pretty low-end so you may have to goto display properties on your laptop and reduce the resolution to 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768.

if you can't get a setting that works, try the 3rd position with just the projector display on, and laptop display off, since your laptop screen is higher resolution it corrects a lot of issues.
