Everyone seems to be having trouble with the acer web cam
If you updated messenger go back to your previous version
If you have not updated then try and update messenger.
If this does'nt help then you need to uninstall the cam and then reinstall.
I have the same problem and it seems to be constant

Intergrated webcam not working

If it's not physically damaged you can fix it yourself. Could be a driver conflict, have you installed any new programs lately?

In your Start menu search, type "Device Manager". Open DM and click the + next to "Imaging Devices". Find your webcam and double click it. What does it say on the "General" tab for "Device Status"? You can go to the Driver tab and "Update Driver". Try letting Windows find the best driver for you. If it tells you that you already have the best driver installed, but it still won't work, try uninstalling the driver and updating it again.

Your webcam drivers can also be found on your recovery discs, and Acer's website.

Does it work??

Hi,
Yes it does! You login to Messenger, go to Tools > Audio and Video Setup, and click Next past the audio settings, and choose USB Video Device from the device list, or test the others, apply and that's it ready.

Hope this helps
