Has any of you tech guy's had this fault before, and as a service tech myself there is always one that drives you nutt's and some time's it does'nt hurt to ask for a fresh take on things.

I have a similar problem with my powermate 1600 mk1... ii know it's a long shot but could the wiring of the mic inputs on the older dynacord stuff be reversed to todays standard...? from what i can find on the net there was some dispute over the the wiring in pins 2&3 between the USA and Europe so is it possible it's a phase/polarity issue....

SOURCE: NO FRONT PANEL DISPLAY

If the display processor has failed, you are out of luck, but sometimes it is just the backlighting (bulb or LED) for the LCD display or if if nothing in that circuit has voltage, then you can usually track down the power regulator for it and fit that.

SOURCE: No surround sound from my Denon 3805

well as long as all signals are routed through the Denon your on the right track, now what else you have to do is connect all devices to the reciever do not loop one device through another. Also you have to try the different surround fields to hear the one you like the best for music I use 5Ch stereo for movies the surround field varies based on the type of movie

SOURCE: I have distortion coming out of my front right channel of my AVR

Yes, sounds like your DSP chip has an issue. Not an inexpensive repair if that's the culpret. Around 400-500 to replace the chip. It's an awesome receiver and worth 300-400 in repair, however, a 3800 or 1800 can be had for 600-800 depending where you look. If you need more help, post a comment and I can help you some more.

SOURCE: i have a lexicon mpx100

Footswitch is just an option for activating MPX. There are a couple ways to connect, but easiest is to run cables from AUX outputs to MPX then return cables from MPX to 2 open channels, using them to apply effects.

I have to turn the master switch all the way on to hear the music and then my microphones are too loud

Watch videos on YouTube about proper setup of a mixer/amplifier. Proper level setting at the different stages of the mixer is important to balance. You don't give us a clue as to what music you are talking about... if it is from a device plugged into the tape inputs for instance, the fault is your source is NOT providing adequate line-level to those jacks and you are trying to compensate with the master level. The master level should probably be around60% up in normal operation.

Dynacord Powermate 1000 Mixer MK1 manual, where can i get one?

Do you mean teh Powermate 1000 powered mixing board? Dynacord has the manuals for some of their products on their site: http://www.dynacord.de/en/products/7/5/29_powermate.html . The direct link to the manual for the PowerMate 1000 is http://www.dynacord.com/downloads/PowerMate2_Manual_Vs02.pdf . Note the English documentation starts on page 31.

I hope this helps.

I have error codes flashing on my thermostat..it is an american standard model the manual for the therm. has ACOT900AC43UA on front..says to find addedum 18-HD32D2-1/69-2009 for codes i cannot find it...

Error codes from American Standard Pub 18-HD32D2-8, which is a one-sheet document that came with my American Standard air-conditioner:

29 = not listed

129 = not listed

80 = HPCO Fault - problem is in outdoor unit - Desscription: High Pressure Monitor Fault (hard lock out, cycle power to reset)

91 = Communication Inactive Fault - problem is in air handler - Descriptions - COMM Bit Master Clock Error, COMM Heat/Cool Demand Error, Serial Motor Communication Inactive Error

91 = Communication Fault - problem is in furnace - Descriptions: Blower motor no COMM response, Inducer motor no COMM response, Loss of heat/cool demand, Loss of clock signal

91 = Communication Fault - problem is in outdoor unit - Descriptions: Loss of Heat/Cool Demand Message (COMM), Loss of Bit Master (Clock Signal)

91 = Communication Fault - Description: Comm line is dead and no bits have been received.

By the way, I do not recommend American Standard. I've had mine 14 months and it just blew up - the entire control panel blew. My advice to you - think about a different brand.

Not working

If it is brand new, it is likely "pilot error" as setting these up if you are unfamiliar with mixers can be frustrating.

There are several things that must be done to have a working system. Correct speaker cables are one and the setting of all the knobs are important...

DO NOT REPLACE FUSE. If any LED's are on, fuse is OK. If fuse blows, service the unit before replacing fuse to avoid further internal damage.

Make sure speaker cables are good.

Set the level control for the channel you are testing up AND you may need to press the "PAD" button to change the input gain. Turn up the master gain.

Depending on the source you are using, line or mic you may need to change the PAD button.

NOTE: This mixer does NOT have Phantom power and cannot be used with CONDENSER microphones requiring phantom power. You will get no audio from a condenser mic without phantom power. You must use dynamic mics with this mixer.

No signal going into mixer.

Did you buy the gear new? If not, the issue might be with the meter. Also, sometimes the signal isn't loud enough to engage the meter, so try cranking up the Trim and Volume (Master & Line), of course, make sure the volume on your amp is down, so you don't blow anything.

Good luck.

Generator doesn't excite with small power tools.

Somewhere on the Generator is an Idle Control switch, turning this to the off position will stop the generator idling down in the first place. You'll need to do this to use tools that don't draw enough current to trip the idle control system into revving the engine.
It may say just how much current you have to draw in the manual (hint, hint).

Mackee PPM808M 1200 How to set the equalizer

Each channel strip has its own 3 band EQ with knobs that effect the hi, mid, and low.

The mid is centered at 2.5kHz and gives you 12dB of boost or cut in either direction, the high gives you 15dB of boost or cut from 12kHz and up, while the low gives you 15dB of boost or cut at 80kHz and below. At their mid positions these knobs are flat (no cut or boost).

The PPM808M also has two 9 band graphic EQs in the Master Output Section on the front panel, Monitor EQ and Main EQ. These two EQs are the last thing in the chain before the signal leaves the mixer on either of these line outs (monitor line out, or mixer line out).

The 'Monitor EQ' effects output to the monitor speakers on stage (and power amplifier if the 'Power Amp Routing' switch is pushed in).

The 'Main EQ' effects the signal to the main speakers (or the mixer line out).

Each of these 'Master Output' EQs has a Rumble Reduction button which when pressed in engages a low-cut filter which rolls off frequencies below 75Hz and is designed to prevent 'stage rumble' from things like footsteps on the stage being picked up by stage mics. These filters are separate from the graphic EQs and the Main Rumble Reduction switch effects only mono channels 1-6 (not stereo channels 7&8). It also has no effect on the EFX to MAIN or the TAPE IN. The Monitor Rumble Reduction switch however does effect the EFX to MON signal.
