Question about OKI C9300 Led Printer

2 Answers

OKI Toner I am using an OKI C9300 LED printer and have been using refill bottles with toner. Have used that for quite a while but now all of a sudden both Cyan & Magenta Drums play up - no even toner spread. OKI Tech smelled the refill rat and claim that OKI tone has got some sort of 'wax' in the toner which lubricates the drums. Non OKI toner would not have that and thus cause damage/havock. Sounds plausible. But there is not one refill company who would agree to that so I don't know what to do now: buy a new drum (costly) and revert to very expensive OKI cartridges or buy a new drum and hope for the best with my regular DIY refill bottled toner.

Its possible you need new drums- how old are they?
    Have you tried uninet toner?

So what can also be at play here is not only the composition of the toner but how the actual toner is made. To make it very simple, most (quality) color toner made today is chemically grown so make it is consistently uniform in shape, color and size. Ideally when this is done the toner is composed of uniform small spheres. If you have been purchasing cheap c-rap internet toner you have likely been purchasing generic toner that has been ground from a block of material. This makes for uneven and gagged particles. The wax is an easy way out for oki, and may be a contributing factor but the former is most likely what you have. As the owner of a Cartridge World, I can tell you that we do not refill or recommend refilling these cartridges for the same reason that you now have these problems, there is not a high quality, reliable replacement toner being manufactured for these cartridges. If you would like to not have these problems then you need to replace all of your drums and toner with Oki OEM. The fact that they are all now contaminated with c-rap toner means the others are on the way to where your cyan and magenta currently are.

Have very good experience with Uninet Imaging toner for this model. So replace the drum units and try this one. It also have wax particles in its structure. But wax lubricates fuser, not drums...

Reset waste toner count

The only ways to reset the count:
1: replace the waste toner bottle with a brand new one.
2: thoroughly clean all the waste toner out of the bottle(requires disassembly and reassembly - making sure you get all the springs and parts back in right)
The waste toner bottle is relatively inexpensive, so I would just recommend doing that. Cleaning out the bottle is extremely messy.

I have an Oki c9300, the paper travels as far as the fuser unit, then jams.

Remove the fuser and make sure the sensor below the fuser is still in place. If it and the paper is stuck inside the fuser then you have to buy a new fuser or a refurb one because you might have used up the life of the rollers that heat the toner onto the paper

Well hope this helps good luck. .

Transfer belt for the oki 9300 led printer

Swith off the machine before installing new units. Also check for toner dust on pins and also check to see if the pins are not bent. You can also try leaving the machine switched off for about an hour unplugged from the mains.

My oki transfer belt is saying that it has run its course despite it has just been installed ( new)

The waste toner bottle is on the underside of the transfere belt. Becareful when you unclip as it can break. Another option is to drill a small hole on the back to empty the toner and then seal it up again. You do this at your own risk so becareful!

Toner sensor problems

On the base of machine after removing drums and transport, there are 4 sets of 3 pins that connect to left hand bottom of each drum, these can get toner on them and not make proper contact, each set of 3 pins just pop out with the help of a flat blade, out of base to be cleaned. in yout case just switch the set under the cyan with another lot from different colour.

I am taking it that you are using genuinne non imported oki drum and toner. If this doesnt fix your problem then you must have fauly drum/toner
