Hi Scott,
Green light flashes and the set goes back to stand by means it is trying to start but the action is not completing because of some fault either in the power supply itself or some other section. Please consult some local TV Tech to handle it.
This is a common problem with this unit. 1. Un plug the unit. 2. Take the back off of the unit 3. On the far left side you will see metal box standing up. Inside the box is your DM board. Remove the box from the unit. 4. Remove the DM board from the box. 5. Inspect these Capacitors to see if they are bulging or defective.
C81A2, C81A3, C81B3 and C81B4. The Value of these capacitors are 1000MF/16V
6. If any of these capacitors are defective, replace them all with capacitors at this rating. 680MF/16V 7. Make sure that when you replace the capacitors that you have the correct polarity. The - side of the capacitor goes toward the markings on the board. 8. Reinstall all parts of unit. 9. Plug in unit 10. Wait the 90 seconds or so that it takes for the DM to boot up ( Green Flashing Light ) 11. Once Unit stops flashing you should be able to turn it on and enjoy.
mine is doing this too, i called Magnavox support and they aid it is an internal power issue and cant be fixed by troubleshooting, it has to be serviced. imo, probably cheaper to buy another.
Remove batteries from room stat, turn off the electrical supply to reciever unit.
Turn back on the electric to reciever unit, the red light should be
on,press the top "manual" button, the green light should come on and
boiler should fire (assuming the programmer is in an "on" period)
Press the bottom button, and keep it pressed, then press the top button
until the green light flashes, stand about 6 feet away, and refit the
batteries to the stat while observing the reciever unit, either the red
or green light (cant remember which) should flash to show the 2 units
are syncronised.
Another basic test if all seems ok,when turning the stat up or down, when
the green light on the reciever unit comes on or goes off,its usually
accompanied by an audible "click" ive found, that if this is not
happening, the reciever unit does not switch either on or off,may be
intermittant.
Replacement is the only cure. garden led light
Hi, Did you buy the original lamp? If the problem is related to the lamp door switch, you will get a different error instead of lamp LED.
Do you hear the color wheel spinning? Again, if it's a color wheel problem the error will be different! My good guess is the lamp but, it could be the ballast or both.
need to make sure all bell housing guide dowels are there and the box is being bolted up correctly, also check convertor snout spigot goes in crankshaft, clean and grease as well as the convertor is in the trans all the way properly before putting trans back on.
