SOURCE: missing voltage?

alot of voltage adjustments at that high voltage are likely from another source that develops it like the the swith-mode power supply upstream on power supply board that feeds it ..look for burnt resistors in this case.. I bet your in the wrong circuit but u can test all wires and pins coming in for 200 volts. get a schamatic of it and find a good tech if u dont know what i am saying. ty crazylarry

SOURCE: when the tv goes pop how do you tell which board

The majority of the time it is the Y Sustain module. I, myself being in the service industry, I always replace the Y drive boards also. The Y main is the large board on the left and connected to that is the y drive boards or board, depending on the model. Check for pico fuses open on the Y and that's a give-a-way.

To make a long story short originally bought the LG du-42px12x with a bad ysus board(no picture just sound) replaced the ysus now the picture and sound work great but there are colorful dots all over the...

Sounds like the y sus was blown out but what cause it. Were you careful when you were checking voltages? As long as you didn't short 2 components together, your y sus should be fine. Unless the y buffer up and/or down blew them out. Even the panel could blow it.

Basically you need a scope to adjust the ramps and everything. You can adjust VA and VS with a meter. If you don't have access to a scope, then just start changing the ramps etc by eye. It might take a little bit to get but eventually you'll get it.

Red dots on my LG 42PX5D

Hello, you do not need to replace any of the sustain boards in your TV to fix the problem you are having. All you need to do is remove the back cover and make an adjustment to the Y sustain board. You will need to adjust the set_up & or the set_down! If you would like to do the adjustments to your TV please feel free to give me a call or message me. Ask for Dave! 1-503-432-9904 or message me @ pleasefixitdave@yahoo.com You will need to remove the stand & the back cover. Then put the stand back on the TV so that you are able to set the TV in the up right position with the back cover off! Then you'll need to hook the TV up to a DVD player so that you are able to pause the picture while you are doing the adjustment to the Y sus! Do not adjust any other adjuster on the Y sus other then the SET_UP or the SET_DOWN. In order to identify the correct adjusters on the Ysus just look on the board and it should say SET_UP & SET_DOWN next to the correct adjusters. If you need more help please feel free to give me a call or message me!

I am having two problems with my Sony PFM 42v1 TV monitor.  The first problem is that it is having that double-image that other people have posted about.  That is, the top half of the screen is basically...

I suspect you have a SUS board failure, but it may be worse than that. What it sounds like is the SUS board that drives the bottom half of the panel has failed, but the problem may not end there. The only way to know is to replace the defective SUS board (Y SUS) and possibly the Y DB (driver board). The real possiblilty exists that you may have a bad plasma panel as well, but the only way to tell is to replace the Y SUS and Y DB boards first and see what happens and what you have. The repairs are DEFINITELY NOT something an average consumer should attempt, as there are adjustments that must be done after replacing the boards and the very real possiblity of ELECTRICAL SHOCK exists. I wish I had better news for you; please don't rate me poorly for giving you the correct information.

Toshiba 42HP66: red pixles in black screen light on in random order

Hello to all that have Red or Green pixels in the dark areas of any given picture on your plasma screen. I can help your fix your plasma TV. All that needs to be done is an adjustment on the Y sustain board. You will need to remove the stand and the back cover from the TV. Then you'll want to reinstall the stand so that you can set the TV in the up right position. Then hook a dvd player up to the TV and put a movie in and push play. Once you get to where you have a picture on the screen that has a dark image on the screen and you can see the Red or Green pixels push the pause bottom on the DVD player. Know you what to locate your Y sus board. It is the board that is going to be on the Left side of the TV if you are looking at the TV from the back side with the back cover off! If you are not sure what board is the Y sus then please feel free to give me a call! I will guide you to the Y sus board! 1-503-432-9904 Ask for Dave! Once you have found the Y sus you will need to look closely at the board and you will find some Blue/Yellow adjusters on the board! One will say setup and the other will say setdn next to it. Do not touch any of the other adjusters on the Y sus other then the two that I have mentioned above. If you do you could end up damaging your y sus! So once you have located the two adjuster on the Y sus with setup and setdn next to them you will need to take a felt tip pin and make a mark on the top of both the adjusters so the you'll know where the factory setting is just in case you need to start over! start with the setdn! turn it counter clock wise if there is no improvement then turn it clock wise! if there is no improvement then put it back to the factory setting and try the same adjustment to the setup adjuster. You will need to have some one help you while you do this adjustment to the Y sus because the TV needs to be powered on while making the adjustment and thus you will need to pay attention to where you are sticking the screw driver because you do not want to shock the poop out of your self! So find some one that can watch the screen for you while you make the adjustments to the Y sus! If you feel like your unsure about anything regarding this advice I'm posting please feel free to give me a call I will be more then happy to answer any questions you may have. Ask for Dave @ 1-503-432-9904 / pleasefixitdave@yahoo.com

P.S.

If you are reading this post and you have a similar problem with your Plasma TV or any problem for that matter give me a call I will do my best to help you!
