If the xbox is under warranty ( Microsoft has extended coverage on those) , have Microsoft fix it. If it's older , you'll need to find a service that fixes 360s If the case seal is broken Microsoft wont cover any warranty issues
Hmm.... I encountered this once. Check the disc and check for scratches. Then, use a dry soft cloth (must not be wet at all) and rub it around the disc but don't rub the center of the disc. If this doesn't work swap the game. I mean give the Madden with the problem to EB Games or Gamestop and swap it for a brand new one. It should work fine.
Depending on how deep the scratches are determines if they can be fixed. There are many pastes and polishes, even a sander. For scratches that are not too deep and don't reach the reader (inner part by the hole) I used a banana, sounds crazy but actually worked great. May not work on bad scratches though. An instructional video is seen here. http://youtube.com/watch?v=CS2NMeUBArs Toothpaste is also known to work.
