Is there a fix for biome-1 error

I purchased 2x2gb Ram sticks... along with a new case, I had them all installed by a client of mine who owns an IT company and I had the pleasure of waiting around for 4 hrs while they ran through all the RAM tests... PC works fine however as soon as I'm away for it for any length of time I come back and its continually rebooting. diagnostic says RAM test failure Biome-1.

Removed the RAM and fitted fresh, problem solved.

Hope that helps.

You have a faulty port on the motherboard most likely, try the ports and see which one fails. You can either buy a new motherboard or just buy a bigger chip to use on one port.

Ran hp diagnostics and got error code biome-1 It also said test memory 8192 mb. What does this mean and how do I fix it

The error simply means that you have a defective memory modules. If you have more than one memory module, remove all then install one at a time, this is to isolate the defective module.
Good day and good luck.

Hi there. I have an HP a6500f. Came pre-loaded with 4GB RAM. Worked fine for a year then started freezing/restarting/BSOD randomly. Ran memory diagnostics and got a BIOME-1 error with both sticks, but...

Try manually setting the ram timings in bios but....

i would think its a motherboard issue too by the sounds of it. find one that has a similar specification and fit it, I will suggest one if you need me to, just give me a list of the hardware you have installed on this current machine

My hp pavilion a1330n computer freezes on the HP

Hi,
the dreaded Blue-Screen of death.
Usually caused by:- Ram Failure ( memory Modules )
CPU Failure ( Processor Failure )
Hard-Disk faulty, not spinning et,c.
Cmos battery fault.
Missing/deleted/corrupted operating System files.

Possible Solutions:- remove cmos battery, from Motherboard for 10 seconds and replace. ( eliminates cmos/bios errors )
remove 1 stick of Memory ( Ram ) and test individually ( eliminates 1 or More Faulty sticks Of memory Or Slots )
remove, CPU Fan/heatsink, remove CPU and re-seat, re-grease with Artic-Silver or similar ( thermal-Compound ) replace heatsink/Fan. test.

Hope this points you towards a Sucessful repair.
