Sound Off

Some times when I turn it on my receiver it has no sound on the VCR or Satelitte mode under optical input (sound is normal in the radio mode). Othertimes works normal. I tried to change every kind of setup, tried unplug the opticals and plug again and nothing worked. I have the impression that my Logitech Universal Remote is doing this, but i´m not sure. I turned off the universal for two days now and so far it seems to work, but even with the universal, some times worked for several days before going mute again. Anyone experienced anything like this?
