Question about Computers & Internet
Princeton VL2017 model L203
I plugged it into my computer and it powers on and stays on back lights work great, but you see vertical lines all over and more appear when you press the menu button but you cannot see the menu. also when you plug it in as a second monitor and tell it to identify the pixels get brighter with what would be the number 2. I was wondering could it possibly be that the video input board is bad and not sending the proper signal to the LCD monitor, possibly the processor chip? both DVI and VGA cable types give signal to the monitor. The Inverter board only seems to go to the back lights so I don't think that could be the problem. I also pulled all the boards up and looked at both sides, no bad solder joints, no bloated caps, nothing burned or discolored.
You can't always see where the solder is off .
Sounds like you need to purchase a new video card.
But before you do ,.. go into your control panel and reset everything in the display settings to original.
Advanced- DPI should be at 96 as default then check (drivers) roll back to original drivers (if you are running an ancient version of windows)
restart your cpu
If this doesnt werk ,... you have a bad monitor . ( hope you kept the reciept).
