Question about 3Com U.S. Robotics Faxmodem 56K
Several months ago we upgraded our "fax server" (really just a PC dedicated to automatically process and fax POs to our vendors), which uses the MS Fax Console (we used to use Winfax). Since that time, the transmission of a fax, which is generally 2-3 pages, has quadrupled in time. It takes over 2 minutes per page now. I've checked configurations, settings, drivers, etc. and I believe I've narrowed the culprit down to the modem. Although we are using the same phone line and an updated version of our pre-upgrade modem, the transmission is exceedingly slower. Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Any direction would be greatly appreciated.
Its possible you've set your faxes to send in FINE resolution (200 dpi), I am not sure about MS Fax, but in WinFax you can select both Standard Resolution and Fine resolution as the default for sending faxes.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
