Unit is only 3 years old. I had a technician come out and he said that the control panel needed replacing. We replaced the control panel and it did not fix the problem. All the buttons on the panel work except those relating to the oven

This is the control panel lock. Press and hold Start for ~5 seconds until the tone sounds to toggle the lock off. This will only work to toggle off the lock if the Timer and the Timed Cook function are not in use.
Hello & Welcome to FixYa Error code F1-E1 is displayed due to electronic oven control failure and the only way to solve this problem is by replacing the control board which is bad. Please get back to me if you have any other questions. Kevin
You could try unplugging unit for about five minutes to clear board, this usually does not work but it gives you time for a coffee......
It sounds like you have to replace the main control board, you can try unplugging and plugging back in the molex connectors of wires to the board to make sure your connections are good to the board, good lluck.....
Most likely you just need the main control board, and not the touch pad with the ribbon that goes to the board. Because the technician could not tell for sure he or she did not want to hang themselves installing a part when both are needed. The only sure way is to replace a part and see if it works usually changing the board fixes the problem, rarely are both needed.
this was dated about two weeks ago, hope it is fixed
I live in a new 500 home subdivision. The contractor ordered all Whirlpool Gold products including Electric and Electric/Gas Ranges. Many of my neighbors' panels have gone out! I'm talking about epedemic trouble. My son has had his oven panel (separate from stovetop) fail within the first year. Thank God it was under warranty...this is not a cheap replacement (he had the sensor touch pad. I just had my oven pad fail. I tried to set the clock for Daylight Savings and found out half my panel is out! The fix is a replacement of the panel. Depending on which model (push or sensor) look to spend at least a couple of hundred bucks. We have the Whirlpool Gold microwave panel and so far so good. My neighbor and my son's both went out! They just tossed the two year old products and replaced them with another brand. Sorry to break you the news...class action anyone?
If the LED display is blank, then you have a power problem. first make sure there is power to the appliance. If you can determine this, then check the transformer on the control module. All these things require some familiarity with electronics and electricity. Depending on you is how to handle this.
