Question about Whirlpool 25.6 cu. ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator with In-Door-Ice Dispensing System
FREE ADVISE and I didn't asked for an immediate answer and this is my question. After removing from freezer, cycle appears to not be completed. Ice ejector was pointing straight down in tray with small amount of frozen ice. Please advise how to check with volt/ohm meter or jumper wires. Could it be the motor? There were not any ohms reading between the two leds coming out of the motor. The status beam light seemed to be working properly, blinks with flapper door open and constant with it closed. Are parts available for ice maker #2198597 if it is the motor?
You have a broken cam inside the ice maker module. it happens when the ice maker cant get enough water to completely fill the mold. you need to replace the i/m module with part #W10190935 about 75-100 bucks. also you might want to replace the water filter.
