Cannot start, stuck at logo screen (lamp still good), buttons are not or very slow to response on both remote control and on the unit. Did a reset but still can't fix. the unit does not recognize any video input. Looks like a firmware problem.

Also make sure the bulb replacement cover is on, cause there is a little switch that cuts power if the cover is off.

you need to reset the lamp timer, usually done by holding some buttons while turning on

I had the same issue.
Take the bulb cover off and hold it just above the unit. notice how that part that sticks down has a little curve to it. The curve is designed to gently push that little metal wire as the cover is lowered.
If you take a small toothpick and exercise the little wire in... NOT DOWN... you will hear a small click. That is the switch making contact. When it makes contact and clicks... and you plug it in the green light will be on again... and the unit will work fine.
You do not have to take the tabs off.
Just exercise the switch... put the cover on slowly... be very quiet and you can hear the click sound.
Plug it in and you are good.
And if the color starts to flicker on and off... it needs a VERY good cleaning... not a new bulb. Read my other posting to the guy with the fan picture.

I have the same problem. The 10V 3200uf capacitor is bulged. Can't find one on the web. Where did you get yours?

Thanks for very quick replys. I have followed dougstanko's instructions. I disconnected the power, opened the bulb cover. I can see the part that push down the metal wire as described. I gently pushed it back in and can hear the click sound. I did that several times and then screwed it back. Pluged the power in and it's still the same issue. Any ideas?
More info, the projector seems lost all of its settings. The language is Italian.
I think this is different from the issue dougstanko had met.The projector still projects the Optoma logo on the screen. The lamp is still good.
Andy, were you able to fix this issue? I'm into the exact same problem.
What was the remedy?
Hi, I could not fix it. Called my local Optoma, they didn't give a clue as this is imported model. Also, this problem was caused by a power-surge in my subwoofer --> Receiver --> HDMI cable --> HD66 projector. At the end, apart from the projector, my receiver has its HDMI board burnt, the subwoofer died.
I think I've got the same issues. While I haven't tested my subswoofer, my receiver's hdmi board probably shorted out. Needless to say, the receiver is shot. The projector won't detect a signal. My attempt to replace the capacitors on the hdmi board on the HD66 didn't work either.
