I was getting a constant "Paper Jam" message, even though I thought I had cleared the jam. If you are having this problem, go to this site:

http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/BSC/public/eu/gb/en/faq/faq/000000/000400/000095/faq000495_002.html?reg=eu&c=gb&lang=en&prod=mfc210c_all&Cat=4

I didn't realize there was a removable cover on the back of the printer. I took it off, and sure enough there was a small triangle of paper approximately 1/2" on a side jammed in one corner. Earlier, when I removed the larger piece of paper, I had not noticed the missing corner. Fixed the problem!

SOURCE: Brother HL 5250 DN status shows "error". Won't print.

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

My printer is saying paused and will not print

Hi
If you open Devices and Printers, right click on the menu that comes up and click on "See what's printing", a dialogue box should come up with a list of documents to be printed. In the second column is the status of each document. The first one in the queue will probably say "paused". Highlight this, click on the document menu and remove the tick against "pause" and the printing should restart.
Hope this is helpful, if so would you please register that with Fixya
Cheers

Clear pause printing
  1. From the Windows Desktop, select Start , Settings , and Printers .

  3. Select the Work Offline or Pause Printing option (if enabled) to remove the check.
  4. Print the document again.
Establish parallel connection
  1. Turn off the printer or remove the printer from the network.
  2. Connect the printer to the PC using a parallel cable.
  3. Power on the printer.
  4. Print the document again. NOTE: If the User Intervention Required message reappears, disable or remove any HP LaserJet software utilities loaded on the system (for example, Status Window, HP Toolbox, etc.). Prove printer functionality and troubleshoot communications; try printing again.
Uninstall and reinstall the driver After performing a cold reset on a product installed with USB, a higher DOT4_00x port is created, causing the printer to hang while printing. NOTE: This is required with products installed on a USB port only.
  1. Uninstall the USB printer driver.
  2. Remove the HP folder and AIO folder from the hard drive.
  3. Reinstall the USB printer driver.
CAUSE: This error can occur if when using a network or printing from a laptop. When the print job goes into a pending status, the printer is either in Work Offline or Pause Printing mode. Hope this helps. Please rate my response.
Thanks.
Have a good day.

My hp printer is stuck on pause. I need free help to get it off of pause. Thank you. I tried run and tried to create a notebook but that did not really work out very well. Or else I didn't do it very well....

I went to Control Panel, then Hardware and Sound, then Printers, then double clicked on the word "Paused" under my printer's status and clicked "Resume Printing" -which worked for me when my HP printer was stuck.

My printer will not print. it is a z611 lexmark. it says its communicating, but it will not print. the documents are in the printer queue.

try to check if you have connected properly your printer cable into your computer. check if you are using the right port in the printer configuration .

If you are using a windows xp system.
Check the printers and faxes control panel .
then
right click and click properties.
You can see a panel there in which you can set the default port you are using..

Printing problem

I also own an HP D2360. I had the same problem with eyang and vinerc. I brought the printer to a computer technician and he told me that my color cartridge is busted and needs to be replaced. I bought
a new color cartridge and presto! My printer is working fine.
