Question about Epson LQ-570e Matrix Printer

My epson lq-570e printer will print reports, but not checks.

I am having the darndest time with my epson dot matrix printer. I am able to print reports without there being any huge problems with being able to read the report. However, when I go to print payroll or A/P checks, the printer will get stuck on the left hand side and not print clearly. Any suggestions as to why or how to fix this problem? I REALLY need to get my vendors paid ASAP. Thank you so much for helping me!

There are manual and automatic thickness settings for the paper. You can try to change the thickness settings in printer properties. Also look for debris small pieces of paper stuck in the rollers etc. Spray out with some compressed air. While turning the rollers.

If the printer is not printing properly then there must be a problem in the thin pins of the head this pins had to be replaced.a very common problem for bad printouts with cuts.also remove the head by opening the two screws on it and clean the base of the head if there is dust collected on its base this happens.and for printhead getting stuck.just apply greese material on the steel rod on which the head moves.trun off the printer and apply greese material.then manually move the head from let to right for couple of minutes.just remove the ribbon cartridge before doing this procedure.after that insert the cartridge and check out it will work properly.

I fix printers and the problem is software. You need to set up the printer to print with that software package.

This is not easy, as this software use direct management of the printer, bypassing windows spooler.

To do this you need to call the company that provided the software, either they will help you by phone, or give you a patch to have the printer working fully.

If the printer is getting struck firstly check for any bit of paper between the rollers.

    if that is a new ribbon still you are facing the issue then it seem s to be issue with the head. you cannot the repair the head, it has to be replaced. Let me know if you need further assistance.

The head assembly white cable is faulty and needs replacement.this will solve the problem.

LQ 300 +2 auto pause during printing


This is a feature provided by the manufacture to protect the print head overheat for small dot matrix printers. Here giving printer head connection diagram, the last two row have temperature sensing (thermister) connection pin 1 to 1. If the thermister is faulty in the print head the printer will auto pause abnormally. Check the printer with compatible / EPSON recommended print head. Hello This condition of Dot Matrix printer only due to
1. Bad ribbon cartridge (25%) 2. faulty print head (75%)
First replace your ribbon cartridge and try printing, if not OK then you have to replace the print head.

Epson Support says to use the Windows Update to receive your printer drivers:
1. Attach your printer to the computer.
2. Turn on the computer and the printer.
3. Click on bottom left Windows logo -> All Programs -> Windows Update -> Check for updates -> xx optional updates are available -> Your-Printer-Drivers-Should-Be-There -> Select Your-Printer-Drivers checkbox -> OK -> Install updates.

How do I get the macaddress of the Epson LQ-300+II?


If the dot matrix printer does not have a built-in network card then it will not have a MAC address. Dot matrix printers are very old printers and I have not come accros any with built-in network card or print servers.
The dot matrix can be connected to a network print server and this will have a MAC address and a configurable IP address.

Every time we try to print it just says error and won't print


If this printer was working fine before, it probably just needs to be cleaned really good with clean compressed air that has no moisture. Also do a test print after you blow it out. If it prints fine in test print then you know that your problem is not in the printer and you may need to reinstall your printer software driver. Check it out. God bless you.
