Whirlpool duet washer won't spin. I cleaned the clogged pump, but it shows thes two codes

I've had the same issue, and a close friend that had a similar issue. Here are the 2 resolutions:
1) Check the drum in between the body and the actual barrel. Sometimes small articles of clothing get stuck in there and will cause the barrel to not spin (such as a child's sock).

2) Some barrels are only made to spin when the machine is cycling. If for any reason you or someone else spun the barrel with your hand (when pulling laundry out for example), the spinning mechanism can become unattached. In that case, you will probably want to call a repair person rather than taking the washer apart yourself. This is a relatively easy fix for a good repair person so it shouldn't be very costly.

Hope this helps.

Wont drain or spin, we have drain it and started it again and it still wont drain

The pump is either broken or the drive shaft coupler is bad. My wife and I recently fixed our washer. i was inclined to get a service person to do it for $300 bucks but she started to take it apart. It wouldn't agitate, but it would pump. The coupler ended up costing us $17 dollars and we fixed it. Hope this helps.

Oven door does not consistantly shut completely

There is alot of unit that I personally repaired for the same problem. I designed a quick fix for it without changes the hinges. It is a little bit technical. The door has to be to took apart and in will need three washers on both sides of the hinge. this will be a $1.00 do it yourself fix if you dont have any appliance repair can fix it for you.

I have a rental unit with this washer/dyer make and the tenant has told me that there is water licking from the bottom when the first cycle is going through. I have changed the hose fittings at the back...

.I am not a repair professional. I am a 78 year old man
who has been making his own repairs for about 50 years. So the washer or dryer ID doesn't mean much to me. I came to fixya looking for a schematic for an really old AM/FM radio and found that more than 4,700 people were asking for help with a washer repair. I recently had a washer repair of my own and at that time I found an excellent video which showed me how to take my machine apart. This video made it possible for me to do my own repair. If you are repairing a dryer or a front load washer I suggest you go to where they have very good step by step trouble shooting and repair information on washers and dryers as well as other appliances. If you have a direct drive top load washer and need help taking it apart this video is an early christmas present. I was so impressed with it that when I saw all these people needing help, I wanted to tell them about it. If you look at the back of your washer and the panel is solid (no small inspection plate to remove which would indicate you have a v-belt drive) chances are you have a direct drive and this video is just what you need. You can see it at You will probably still need help in determining what the trouble is and how to fix it. After viewing the video or if you have a v-belt drive rather than a direct drive, I suggest you go to where they have very good
trouble shooting and repair nformation on most
washers and dryers. I think you'll find what you need
there. Don't worry about the timer, they hardly ever
go bad. Good luck with it. If I have helped you, please rate my advice on fixya.

Kenmore 110 80 Series. Agitates, fills, won't spin

This is most likely the lid/door switch loose in its mount or, switch has dirty contacts or, it's broken. The lid switch is a safety feature which keep the tub from spinning if the lid/door is up/open.

Don't know if switch comes apart to clean contacts, but if its tight in the mount (which means loose mount is not the problem) then you could remove it, soak it in rubbing alcohol for a while to clean it (if you can't easily take it apart and reassemble).

Water pump out??

The washer filled with too much water, causing a switch to trip. Then everything stops. It tries to drain during FL but if it can't drain, the washer powers down.Choose Drain & Spin to let the washer drain. Then you have to take the washer apart. Fix the problem. I personally can't tell you what to do because I don't own a Calypso.

Bad Pump
