Yes, and L6 means the main board is not detecting the operation of the motor that runs the mirrors in the laser.
In order of probability , the laser is bador the main board.

What does Error Code "L6" indicate for a Xerox Work Center 2140 DF copier/printer?.

That is a problem with the polygon mirror motor. That is the motor that rotates the missors in the laser assembly.
Most likely have to replace the laser.
Google a business called The Parts Drop.
Give them a call and ask for Britt. He will help you.
I believe there are 2 different lasers for that machine. I am not sure just the mirror motor is spared.

XEROX XD130DF HAS ERROR CODE L6 HOW DO I FIX IT

An L6 usually means the motor that spins the mirrors in the laser unit has failed.
You can try unplugging the machine, removing the back cover and unplugging and reseating the plugs on the main circuit board, if that doesnt work, then there is probably a 90 percent chance the laser will need to be replaced. Not an easy job to replace. You can try looking on E-bay or other online part sources. But used really isn't the way to go on a laser and it would be at least $200 to purchase one, wish I had better news .

L 6 code flashing

That is a laser fault. Normally the motor that turns the mirrors in the laser assembly is failing.
You can also try this. take the back off the machine, there is a ribbon cable attached to the main board that I have seen unplugging and re connecting resolves an L6.
about the best price I have seen on that laser is about $300.
Google a business called "the parts drop". You can look up the part and price there. Honestly, that is one heck of a job replacing that laser. You pretty much have to split the machine in half to replace it.

FLASHING ERROR 6 L

L6:The Main PWB sensed a Polygon motor lock signal error. 5-L6 only: Check the connector CN23 on the Main PWB and the wires and connectors on the Laser Module. If connector and wires are not damaged, replace laser module. What that normally means is the laser mirror motor has failed. That normal price for that item is normally over $300. Here is a parts dealer to contact to see if they have it in stock. https://www.partsdrop.com/store/

I have a XD100 Work Center with a L6 error code indication. After press "C" Clear (orange color button), followed by "Auto" (the most left small button) - exposure mode key; and "C" followed by "Auto" again, the copier starts to print and solved problem.

Guest.
The L6 indicates the machine is not seeing the motor in the laser, that rotates the mirrors.
There are 3 possibilities, I will list them in order of probability.
1 The Laser unit itself.
2. The cable connection on the Main Board.
3. The Main Board itself.
The laser depending on the lens, Curved or straight is $323 and $393.
the main board will cost in the $250-$400 range depending on the vendor.
That is without labor.
