Food in freezer not frozen; food in refrigerator not cold
The boxes of food in my freezer are soft, and flexible. They bend and are not frozen or even cold. The food in my refrigerator is not cold either.
I have continually raised the temperature in the refrigerator, and now it is on the coldest setting and still not working. I raised the freezer temperature to the coldest setting, but only air is blowing out and it is not even cold.

Be sure that you have the vents for the air flow in your freezer not covered up by boxes or bagged foods. It has to be able to circulate through the freezer towards the door and back to the vents if that is all clear the you may have an issue with the clicks on switch that tells it to defrost when it gets frozen up and can blow cold air through vents any more it also could be a bad element that works with the clicks o switch that tells element to come on and defrost. If that's not then you maybe low on refrigerant. .hope this helps
Many times a freezer and/or refrigeratordo not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many otherthings that can go wrong.
If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out thelast two tips.
If your refrigerator is running but warm, then...
Check out this tip that I wrote about that... it is a great place to starttrouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then callinga repair person to do a simple thing for you...
When you open the freezer compartment do you hear a fan blowing? If no the take off the back cover and replace the fan. The compressor has to be on at the same time for the fan to work. If you know what I mean. let me know what happened. thanks.
The only thing you give me that would allow me to solve this issue, is based on the fact that the freezer is getting warmer, and fresh food section is staying cold. So, knowing nothing more than that, I must sadly say that you need a new refrigerator to solve this issue 100%, as it sounds like you have a failing compressor, or a slow leak in the sealed system. Both scenarios are terminal.
