there is a chance that the driver u have is not the right one since hp was so nice to make so many ver. of the v2000 for different retailers to see which u have flip your laptop over and look on the sticker for a service tag# right below the operating system sticker go to www.hp.com and in the drivers section enter that number in sted of the v2000 that number is your actural ver. of the v2000 and u will be able to fid the right drivers
