Question about Bosch 24 in. SHU43 Built-in Dishwasher
The water in this dishwasher keeps on filling in, even when the door is open and no power to the Dishwasher. I have to manually set the water inlet off from the Wall Valve. I read in other posts that there is an inlet valve which may be jammed. Where do I find it in this dishwasher ?
Follow-up: I was able to fix the problem on Bosch model # SHU 4002UC. Purchased water inlet valve (part number 425458) from Sears Parts Center. I required the Sears unit number from the original invoice as Sears computer system apparently cannot identify the Bosch model number. The valve is as described by meyerjr above; however it is located at the bottom front of the machine so could be replaced (not so easily) without removing the machine. Cost of part was $30.50 Cdn including tax.

The inlet valve will be at the dishwasher end of the (hot) water inlet line. On this dishwasher I ~believe~ the inlet valve is near the rear of the unit. That means that you will need to pull the dishwasher out to get to it. Remove power from the dishwasher as soon as you can before messing with the unit.
Just past the connection of the supply hose and the connection on the dishwasher, there will be the valve (a solenoid valve with two wires coming out of it.) That is the little beast that has most likely failed.
Good Luck!

You can go to Sears Parts Direct and get exploded views of this unit.
It would appear to me the problem is P/N 263834 and/or P/N 263185.
It's hard to tell without dis-assembly and observation which part(s) has failed.

I too have the a Bosch SCH 402. After reading many problems
with the unit, I notice at times it did seem the dial was stuck,
hot water was inside the unit, a ton of water at the bottom of the
unit.I wonder if the unit was mixed up with too much water to start with? But even when the unit hadn't been used in days water would
pour out of the bottom around the front seal of the door. I ordered the
water inlet valve and installed it. On my unit it is at the bottom of the left side. Had to remove black metal kick plate, mounting screws that hold the unit in and the copper 1/4" line to the valve and the power hook up. If you decide to fix it yourself just hede what the other fine people suggested.
Shut off power at the breaker box and turn off the valve going to the
1/4" water inlet to the unit itself. BTW, ordered the part from Amazon
(Exact replacement parts ERP425458) it was $30 total for shipping, tax .etc That was about 2 weeks ago, no leaks yet.
Hope this helps.

I have same problem with clean water slowing running into dishwasher between cycles. Shut off water supply stops this water entry. Unit is near 10 years old. Should I repair or replace the dishwasher?
