Question about Mitac Mio C220 GPS Receiver
I have this GPS device in my car. This car was previously being used in Japan. I bought it and imported it to my home town Karachi, a place near India. This screen of the GPS device only displays Japanese language which i do not understand. The GPS of this car, i assume, would be having a preloaded destination or POI. Can somone advise how can i activate the GPS this device. Can someone tell how to change the POI to my city whereabouts.
Secondly, would it be needing a GPRS connection to communicate with the Tom Tom sats. I have a windows mobile which also have the googles Maps on it. Can i have this windows mobile syncronized with this car GPS hardware. If yes, how could it be done ? Further, can you someone also advise how to change the language from Janpanese to English.
Thanking you in advance.

SOURCE: Can't change home and work POI
Use the back or menu buttons until you reach the main Mio Map Screen. It should say Mio Map V3.3. It will have 6 big button options and two small options in the upper right hand corner. Chose the tools option(small hammer/wrench). You will have a screen with six big buttons again. One of them is "General" and it looks like a couple of sprockets/cogs. Choose that option. Then pick "set favorite destinations" close to the bottom of the screen. It should be straightforward from there. Hope this helps.

Turn the device off( from the back button) press volume up and the flag button( third from the right) in the same time and power on the device. Keep pressed the two buttons untill a screen shows . Press ok and then another ok. Then restart the device. This will do it
