Getting extra songs for my Casio LK70s

I have a Casio LK-70s, which has a Smart media slot, for extra songs. I have tried to purchase more cards but no one sales them. The keyboard also has a USB port, but do not really want to go down that route. I read in a forum that I could download MIDI files, which I have done and put the songs onto a new Smart media card, but when I try to use them on the keyboard, it come up with Error No File. But can read the new songs on the new card on the PC.
I also compared the file from original card with the new Smart media card and the properties are the same.

Casio LK70s has USB midi in out and user song download - no soundblaster card no midi connection needed -it has USB socket and can be easily detected as connected to the pc.as its saying this error because the usb socket where you r connecting the wire is either faulty or the wire itself is faulty just get it replaced and check out.and also check out in any other usb socket as mostly the pc has 2 usb socket check out in both coskets 1 by 1.

I have a casio lk-44. I want to be able to play a song from the songbank, but just hear the background rhythm and not the melodies. I want to play the melody myself from the songbank. When I pick a song...

Not sure if your "booklet" is the full user manual... if not go to this site and go through their "hoops" and download the full user manual. It shows how to put the unit in the mode that merely lights the keys and plays the rhythm, unlike the "demo" mode.

Note the manual is free via the Retrevo site... just have some of those annoying hoopps like email address and entering numbers.

I have the a Casio Keyboard that has an SD slot, but whenever i put songs on my SD card & then plug it into the keyboard, it says that there is an ERROR . What am i supposed to do . Step by Step . to...

Does it say ERR NO FILE? If so, then read on. The reason you have this error is because you don't have a folder on your sd card named MUSICDAT. Solution:
  1. Insert your sd card into computer
  2. Make folder called MUSICDAT.
  3. Then, transfer all files inside the folder (make sure your songs are in MIDI format).
  4. Safely remove your sd card.
  5. You're ready to put it in you Casio Keyboard!
If you still get the error, take time to read you manual. Read the "using the sd card" part. The folder name might be different for your Casio Keyboard (because mine's a CTK-5000).
...and IF you still get the error, perhaps the songs you meant in your question are MP3 songs (like the ones you play on the iPod)? Then, that's a different topic... :)
Well then, good luck!

If you have the smart card slot you can save your songs to the memory card by using Anvil Studio which is a free program. Save your midi song in Format 0 and be sure to use channel 4 for right hand playing and channel 3 for left hand. Be sure to keep the file size under 80k if you have other channels active for other instruments!
