Check the door closure switch and the dryer interior light burning out. if the The door switch fails the light stays on,and burns out. Then you try to do a load and the dryer will not start due to the switch not making contact. replace the switch and the interior .hope this helps

I believe it is a micro-switch that indicates whether the dryer door is closed or open. If open, it prevents the dryer from starting. Since the light stays on, even when the door is closed, it is probably the switch.

Hi,
You need to change the lightbulb. It seems that the door closure switch is a common failure point. Thecommon theme is the dryer interior light burning out. The door switchfails, so the light stays on, and burns out. Then you try to do a loadand the dryer will not start due to the switch not making contact.

Diagnostic Guide Link
I found service tech diagnostic guides (PDF format) during an onlinesearch. This includes instructions on putting the dryer into test modein order to check switches, etc. Here are the links:

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Offhand, 3 beeps in a Kenmore dryer is indicative of an open thermistor. It is also called a High limit thermostat and would look like the image below.

Hi After reading other problems on this board, it seems that the door closure switch is a common failure point.  The common theme is the dryer interior light burning out.  The door switch fails, so the light stays on, and burns out.  Then you try to do a load and the dryer will not start due to the switch not making contact.
Ours just started doing the same thing, and I am betting this is the culprit...
It could be an intermittent problem too.

There is only 1 thermistor on your dryer, if you look on the top of the blower housing, the part on the left is a thermal fuse, the 1 on the right is the thermistor.

If The Thermal fuse blows out, the dryer will not turn on all at.

If The thermal cut-off on the heater housing blows, the dryer will run, but not heat. This is usually a vent restriction that cause this to blow, and blow the thermal fuse over time.

Ohm out the thermal cut-off and all safety thermostat and heater coil for continuity, but the 3 beeps is usually a sign the thermistor is out.

How to reset a Kenmore model 2661532210 washing machine

try this.if it does not work then go to this link and see if it helps you out...... Programmable Washing Machine Certain programmable washers have a reset function. This function clears an unintentional "Delay Start" command and resets controls in the case of a program error when the machine won't start. The method of resetting varies by make and model. In certain models, turn the knob to reset with the power button "Off." Select the desired program. Press the power button to restart the washer. In other cases, if the machine has a "Cancel" button, push it to clear the error and then push the "Pause" or "Stop" button to reset it. Consult the handbook for the washing machine for the correct procedure that applies to your model. You can often find washing machine handbooks or troubleshooting instructions on the manufacturer's website............

My kenmore dishwasher wont start at all now. It used to start if you pushed certain buttons a bunch of times but now the lights next to most of the buttons light up but it wont start a cycle. any ideas?

Hello

Ensure that the dishwasher is connected to a working power supply. Check the local fuse or circuit breaker and restart as necessary.

Open and shut the door firmly until it latches into place. The dishwasher will not function if the door is not latched into position.

Select the desired cycle and press the cycle button firmly, as you must choose a cycle in order for the dishwasher to begin operation.

Look at the water valve that is connected to the dishwasher and ensure it is turned on.

Turn off the dishwasher and unplug it from the power supply to reset the unit. Plug it back in and select a new cycle. Select "Start." If the dishwasher still does not start, contact an authorized service technician.

Toner life end message with brand new toner cartridge.

1. Turn on the printer. 2. Push the button on the front of the printer to open the cartridge door. Do not remove the cartridges.
3. Push the Clear/Back button and hold till to bring up a reset menu. There are 8 different toner functions ( two Black, two Cyan , two Magenta, and two Yellow).
4. For each of these eight functions in turn, push the O.K. button and then push it again to indicate 'Reset'. After a few seconds, it will say 'Accepted' and will then display a message that the cover is open.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each of the 8 toner functions.
6. When finished, close the door and the status bar will be reset to normal with no error message.

I have MFC-790CW. Just changed all color ink cartriges. Now I get an error message 'Unable to clean 5A'. Help !!!

Basically your waste ink container is full. You can reset it but risk the chance of overflowing the waste ink, which would be very messy on your desk, if you don't actually clean it out. As far as that goes, you have to dis assemble the machine and manually clean out the ink as far as I know, good luck.

Here are some generic reset instruction I found for similar models.

- pull out the AC plug
- put back the AC plug while holding down the “menu” button and keep holding it (15 sec)
- now you are entering the MAINTENANCE mode and “error 46” pops up in the display
- select 8 by using the arrow buttons ,push OK and select 0 and push OK
- 00:00 00:01 OK (the display is showing this message)
- now push the MONO button 25 times until you see PURGE: xxxxx
- Select 2, push ok, select 7,push ok,select 8,push ok, select 3,push ok
- the purge counter indicates now: purge: 00000
- switch off the printer ,switch it on
- ready to print
- CHEERS!

The only remark is that your waste ink box is too full with ink. Ink flooding might be happening……

and this

· Machine off
· Switch on the machine while holding down the “menu”button until all the leds are flashing on/off. Now you are in “maintenance” mode.
· Press 80
· Press the “mono start” button several times until you see “purge: xxxx”
· Press “2783” in order to reset the purge counter. You will see: “purge:0000”
· Press the "stop" button.
· Press “99” to exit the maintenance mode.

Hard Reset - In some cases the control can be non-functioning or may not accept activation from the control panel. To clear and restart the control follow the these steps:

* Unplug or turn the circuit breaker off for 30 seconds.
* Reconnect the unit to the power source by turning the breaker back on or plugging the unit back into the wall outlet.

Kenmore Microwave Hood Combination: over the stove Model #721.80602500

Disclaimer: I'm a DIYer, not a technician.

Our GE over-the-range microwave stopped producing heat yesterday while warming part of the T-giving feast. Everything else (fan, control panel, light) works fine.

After disassembly and testing last night, I discovered a defective "secondary door switch." Your Kenmore uses a similar switch (~$19 on-line), and that might be the problem. But it also could be other things, such as a bad thermal cut-out.

If you know anyone who's handy with a multimeter, most of the basic diagnostics seem to be pretty straightforward.

Touch Screen Issue

Hi Troy, same problem with my 2610, It seems to be related to a voltage problem in my ford f-150 07. When starting the truck I think it sends current the wrong way because if i start and turn off the truck it goes back to normal, the problem comes back if i start the truck with the 2610 on. If this can help, the garmin tech also told me about the 225$ repair. Try turning the unit on and off and also your vehicule. Once it is ok, dont forget to turn the unit on and off while the car is on. It worked for me. I also know that this is not a definitive solution but it can help. Patrick
