Question about Toshiba Satellite Pro L300 Notebook
I have just purchesed a toshiba L300-1BV.I switched it on and The blue background with the windows vista sign appears. There is a logo of various footballs/rugby etc.under it is says jack.Below this it asks for my password, which i dont know.Having tried it then comes up under this as password hint:legend Reset password...Please HELP.Thanks Charles
My guess is legend is some sort of hint set by the previous user. You may want to quickly try various forms of the phrase I AM which may refer to the movie I AM LEGEND and some sort of cocky personality complex of the prior owner as well.
If you are unable to guess the password might I suggest taking the unit to a service center or some repair shop? You'll be able to convince them to provide you a copy of Vista burned to a disc as you have that version on there now. There is some law that makes that legal and possible. You couldn't however attain a copy of XP for free. If they're nice they'll burn it for you and charge you only for the cd itself.
