If you're trying to access the power options, this should:
1. Right click on your desktop and select "Properties" (Alternatively, open Control Panel and go to Display). 2. Click on the Screen Saver tab. 3. Click on the button that says "Power".
The screen brightness may be too low. That may happen in certain power regimes ( when used on battery power, presentation, etc.) Here is how to change screen brightness on a Toshiba satellite that has the Toshiba Power saver software installed
Go to the Control panel, Click Toshiba Power Saver ( icon has two hands praying?) and increase the screen brightness. in each of the different regimes provided : Full power, High Power, Normal, DVD Playback and so on.
You need to use the Toshiba "Power Saver" console. Go to Control Panel -> TOSHIBA power saver. Click the Icon and use the console to adjust the brightness for the various power schemes. If you don't see the TOSHIBA power saver icon, go to Go to Control Panel ->Power Options and open that console. Select "TOSHIBA Power Saver" option in the "Power schemes" dialog box. If you don't have that option in the dialog box, you need to go to the Toshiba site and download the Power Saver installation file and reinstall it.
