I have an Sony notebook and my cd dvd-rom does'nt work lately i think its the driver is up to date can u help me

When you say doesnt work, it doenst read any disks anymore? check for the functionality of it on safe mode, if it can explore whats on the disk then software issue, if its still not working in safe mode. you need to replace dvd drive.

Click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll down cd-dvd rom drives you might see a yellow question /exclamation mark ? ! or a red X right click to update driver
If your computer came with a motherboard disk the drivers could be on it or you could download one.

DVD/CD ROM not working...


delete the upper and lower filter fo cd dvd drive from registry editor
and restart the system

My Device Manager doesn't recognize my CD/dvd drive.


its either yr hard ware is bad or that the drivers have not been installed. if u r using windows NT,XP then yr cd/dvd player is bad cos xp should installed most cd rom drives.

Laptop keeps turning off and DVD-CD-RW Rom won't work.


The turning off problem may be a memory problem, download and run a memory checker (memtest 1.7 or later) it may also be a virus problem
ensure your virus checker is up to date and run a full scan,these would be a first step to try and solve these issues.
