If the scanned format is an image you cannot modify the text only the image using any image processing program.
you can convert pdf image into text if you have adobe acrobat PRO and you installed the OCR feature.
or you can try a program in OCR area (google it)

You can't.  You could try loading the Adobe professional software, but I do not think it lets you edit PDF's
If the Doc contains words you can OCR (Optical Character Recognition) it (ie read it) edit it an dthen create a new PDF.

I type a document, store it and when I retrieve it the entire doc. is scrambled! Tell me what to do.please

In what document format did you save it? When saving files like word document you should save the file as ".doc" extension so that other versions of MS Office can recognize the format. Now, what you need to do is open and edit the file from the PC where you typed it then try saving the file again with a compatible format like ".doc".

Thanks and Regards,

Hi,

You can attempt a repair by opening Word, File>Open Select the document and then where it says "Open", click on the little arro next to it and choose "Open and Repair". If this does not work then it is corrupted beyond repair.

Hope that helps, pls rate the solution

Free microsoft word download

For a free trial version you can try the link below:
http://microsoft-office-2007.en.softonic.com
However, if you are looking for free office productivity suite, open office would be the easier option, as it is totally free and works as good as or even better than MS office. Try the link below for the same.
http://www.openoffice.org
Open office does way better than the Home and student MS office version do. Though open office saves in .odt format instead of the .doc format, you can save in .doc format also. If you want to send a document in .doc format to someone who can read only .doc format, this helps. Like wise, you can save in MS office formats for spread sheet or presentations. Open office also give you the option of saving in PDF format, if you want to send a document which is not editable by the recipient. One also will get a great selection of fonts and clip art galleries.

Can ms works 6 files be opened with open office .org

Hi

Openoffice can read anything that MS office can make. Openoffice can also save files in MS office's .doc format. So, if you are sending documents to people that don't have Openofice, and that need to edit the documents you should send them in .doc/.xls/etcetera. If they don't need to edit the document it's best to use .pdf since that guarantees that they will see the document as you intended.

Please can i ask that you leave feedback and vote if this has been useful
