Frigidaire fgx831fs3 has new transmission, but will not run or spin

This is the Transmission unit, which I would say puts it beyond economical repair.

On first reading, I thought it sounded like the pump, but then no agitation, but it spins. This makes it sound like the control board. In view of the confusing actions and the cost involved, I would call out a Service Engineer.

Your main switch needs replaced. The motor that drives the switch operates because it goes through the other cycles, so the switch must be bad.

It is your cluch on your motor. Your cluch what holds your transmission in place while spinning.

The clutch may need to be replaced. Look for soot or dark deposits on the floor beneath the machine. Otherwise, it's time to replace the little plastic drive coupler between the motor and the transmission, that would cost about $20 if you do it yourself. Here are a couple sites with helpful guides:

most likely transmission bearings are worn out (sounds like a jet plane taking off) unfortunately this requires replacing the transmission which is a costly job.

After draining can you hear the motor running? If so its probably a broken motor / transmission coupling
