Perform a System Restore If Necessary:

  • Step 1 - If the sound has been audible from your computer's speakers and is suddenly lost, you may need to perform a System Restore. Click on the " Start" button and then "All Programs."
  • Step 2 - Click on "Accessories," then "System Tools," then "System Restore."
  • Step 3 - Complete the System Restore Wizard. If this doesn't work, read on.

Delete And Reinstall the Original Sound Drivers:

  • Step 1 - Deleting and reinstalling your sound driver may resolve the problem. Your sound driver may have been corrupted or may be missing. The result of this is that the restore utility menu won't be available. For Windows XP, follow these steps.
  • Step 2 - Click on your "Start" button. Click on "Control Panel" and then "System." Next, click on "Hardware," then "Device Manager, then "Sound, Video and Game Controllers."
  • Step 3 - Click on a sound device named in the Device Manager, and then press the Delete key on the keyboard. Click "OK" in the window that appears. Remove all the listed sound devices i this way EXCEPT Audio Codec and Legacy Audio Drivers.

  • Step 4 - Restart your computer. Reinstall the deleted drivers using the Driver and Application Recovery CDs that came with your Windows XP system.
  • Step 5 - Visit your computer manufacturer's official website. Check for any updated sound driver software for your sound card. If any, download them along with the installation instructions.

If possible to use another pc to go to this site http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html eneter the correct information for the pc and all apllicable drivers for that pc should come up. If using another pc save the drivers to a cd or flash drive then install them to the pc that needs the audio drivers.

I want to riformate my pc but i haven't the disk drivers.From Internet I have download those drivers: Driver - Storage,driver audio,driver chipset,driver network,Driver - Modem,Driver - Printer,Driver -...

You do not need to format the hard drive, you can restore the computer to the factory setting factory settings means your computer would go to a state as it was on very first day of purchase.
If you want to restore the computer to factory settings and you have window vista, start tapping F11 at the startup of your computer and your computer would be restored to factory settings. If you have window XP use F10 at the startup.
However, if you want to format the hard drive, you can format it and you have already downloaded all of the drivers. After formatting, first install network drivers and then remaining others. Also, I would suggest you not to install the drivers for BIOS.

I've lost the base drivers for my vaio ar630e during the installation of windows 7 rc. Need help with restoring it back!!!!

If you have a windows disc that came with the system, insert the disc while the computer is on. Shut the computer down. Turn computer back on. Your computer should boot to the disc. Delete partitions. Format the hard drive. And reinstall.
If you do not have a windows disc contact sony to purchase a recovery disc.

Sometimes there is a back-up partition on a hard drive that is setup by pre-loaded software. if you boot your computer by holding F11 or in some compuers F12 it will go to a restore to factory default software.

Hope this works for you!
