Hi kebell100...
Here is an easy way to delete what you want -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BIG WARNING: DO NOT DELETE THE FILES NEEDED TO OPERATE YOUR MP3 PLAYER. Hook up your mp3 player to your computer Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer" When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there. Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible. Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release, right click and then click on "Delete" Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want. ONE MORE BIG WARNING: BE CAREFUL AND DO NOT DELETE THE FILES NEEDED TO OPERATE YOUR MP3 PLAYER.

Remove battery. Plug into computer when files display hit CTRL-A to highlight all files that are loaded on the the drive. Hit DELETE to remove all the highlighted files at once.
try loading files on different bit rates and see what bitrate your player can play. some player wont play files that are directly copied to the player, it needs a certain software to encode it to its standard format.
sony walkman is an example, it has its own software to encode files from mp3 to its own supported format.
Sounds like a battery problem or theres a shorted componet in the mp3 curcuit and this is probably something your gonna have to send back to Creative Labs to have repaired
