While installing the Skype program, its add-on is automatically installed in the web browser. Sometimes, issues with the plug-ins often cause Skype to freeze and crash. Here's how to re-enable the plug-in.
1.Open your web browser and click the 'Menu' option.
2.Choose the 'Tools' option, followed by the 'Extensions.'
3.Locate the Skype icon, and deselect the 'Enabled' checkbox.
4.Re-open your browser program. Again, repeat the same process and go to the Check box for Skype.
5.Next, select the 'Enabled' checkbox. Fix #3: Update Audio/Video Drivers
Sometimes, out-of-date graphic drivers can encounter various issues with Skype. So, update the audio and video drivers of your system with the latest version that you can download from the manufacturer's site. Here, you will find the updated version, choose the compatible one and follow up the instructions to install them. At such time, you can seek the help of either Skype technicians or Microsoft support professionals.
      Fix #4: Optimize Registry
Whenever you reinstall and uninstall a program, Windows registry is up-to-date about it. Although, a registry is interrupted when irregular activities are outdone in the operating system. Fix #5: Install Latest Direct X
If your Skype program is running slowly or often crashing or freezing, then download and install the new version of the Microsoft Direct X to fix the issue and boost up the Skype performance effectively.
Fix #6: Check your Antivirus Software
It's possible that the virus can attack your PC from any open source. Additionally, it critically influences the system performance and slows it down. At such time, your Skype program also gets infected by it. So, install trustworthy security software to scan your computer and detect/remove the threatening programs. Also, ensure that your security program isn't blocking the Skype from working. If it's, then seek the help for it to detect the cause and fix the issue instantly.

Internet Explorer Crashes when Closed

I had the exact same problem and was so frustrated I was about to smash my pc with a hammer. LOLZ! Finaly I had enough and decided to update to I.E. version 8 form the M.S. updates site. After the update and a reboot, the problem immediately went away. It hasn't happend since! YAYYY! When he new I.E. 8 started I got an error message which told me tha my HP {Printer} had an I.E. adon that was incompatable with I.E. and would cause it to crash and suggesed that I remove or disable the adon. So I am assuming that was what was causing the crash problem with version 7 as well. I hope this helps others! Try turning your I.E. adon off then restart I.E. see if that helps! If so, it's only a mater of determining which ones are incompatable! PEACE! KreiosK.
