Try EBay.com I have found many parts for TVs over the past years. Look for TVs that had the screen cracked during delivery. The insides always work and you can buy the borads you need at a lower price then trying to fix 1 item on it.
When on EBay, search for the whole TV and parts. You might find what you are looking for there.

TV hit by power surge. Will not come on. Started trying ( clicking) but then stopped. Cover off. Fuse is OK. No capacitors obviously burnt. What to check next

Contact your homeowners insurance because you need a new television. If this was from lightning then it is badly damaged. You are at least looking at a new control board and there are at least 3 of them and then you may need new power supply, main board and inverter.

LG 42' plasma tv

Hi,
Based on the symptom it seems like you have a problem either with capacitors or mosfet ic's burned on power supply. I will open up the tv and closely inspect for any burned/damaged component. (google burned capacitors for you to have an idea on how they might look like). If you find any you can either replace the component or you could also replace the whole circuit board. The specific part number must be print out on the board itself. You need this number to order it from any part distributor.
Good Luck!

It can't predict about the repair charge at this time; because, if the availability of components are rare, the price too will go high for it. If it seem to be more than the price of a new TV, why don't we buy a new one? With a new one, you will get warranty period too. It will be best I thinks. Gopakumar Gopalan Google

TOSHIBA 32WCT58 does not turn on

Usually a clicking noise when trying to start a TV indicates a short. You are getting power to the TV but the ON/OFF switch is defective. Generally the ON/OFF switch is built onto the Circuit Board. It sounds like the TV may have been a victim of a Power Surge that damaged the circuit Board. Always use a UPS and NOT a Power Surge Strip. The Battery Backup UPS is the best protection and my customers never have a burn-out problem. Regards DaytonComputerDoctor@hotmail.com

Power surge caused by lightning strike, TV is dead, any Thoughtd/ does this damage every components?

Lightning can cause serious damage. You will surely want to get a professional diagnoses. What is damaged depends on where the surge came in at, and the intensity of the surge. If the surge came in through the power cable, most likely your power supply board has damage. But I have seen situations where the surge came in though an HDMI or coax connection and just take out the main board. But the moral of the story is to get a proper diagnoses, you could have several boards damaged.

Blown Fuse LG LCD

Unplug tv and let it set for a couple of hours. Remove the back panel, the fuse is located somewhere near where the power chord comes in. Remove fuse and replace with one of the same rating.

My Sharp Aquos LCD TV LC-40C37U will not power up. The green power lamp at the bottom right is blinking. We had a power surge last night, I even measured 180V on the power outlet. Is my TV now damaged?

Good day sir/maam, chances are, yes or no, yes, the surge do has the ability to damage your TV, but no, modern TVs are autovolt (it can work from 90v-240v) so check the manual or back panel to confirm. The most deadly part of the surge is it can hit more than 500v at a split of a second, damaging your TV's switching power supply. The TV's power supply is bad. it cannot produce the proper voltage to power your TV. thats why its on standby. Bring it to your dealer for proper advice on the status of your TV.

We had a power outage and the next day all I could get on my TV was the blinking power light. Can you hellp me? I have a Samsung 42" LCD Flat Panel HDTV Model No. LN T4042N edit

Hi, the power surge has destroyed the power supply board that is located inside your lcd cabinet. this board works in conjunction with an inverter board that regulates the raw ac current that is used for many different functions in your set. Normally, this type of damage will be isolated within the power supply but, it could have spread to the main control board as well, depending on how well the surge protector preformed during the surge.

The good news is that, this is a repairable situation. you can replace the power supply circuit board and inverter board as well. these replacements will fix this issue.

please rate and god bless:)

I the same problem and I found that the Capacitors used on the power supply portion of the circuit board were leaking and/or bulging. These parts were failing and as a result the problem worsened with time. If you are able to remove and solder new parts on to the circuit board follow the following procedures. Or get a technician to do the repairs.

1) Make note of connections at back of TV.

2) Unplug power cord and other connectors from back of TV.
3) Remove back of TV with a Phillips (+) star shaped screw driver.
4) Note the position of all connections to the main board.

5) Remove circuit board taking care not to damage any of the components.
6) Locate parts CM806, 811, 812 & 817, all 1000 uf 10v capacitors.

7) Remove and replace parts with capacitors of equal physical size that are (1000 uf ). I would recommend a voltage rating of 25v or 32v. Note that the voltage refers to the amount of voltage the capacitor can handle. The higher the better.

8) Reinstall and reconnect the circuit board.
9) Replace back on TV and setup the unit as before and you’re done.
10) Enjoy!

I replaced the parts for just under $10.00.
