Question about Zenith L13V36 13" Flat Panel LCD Monitor
My laptop screen goes blank from time to time and these are the reasons it happens. If you boot the computer with the screen open while on battery sometimes the screen doesn't connect properly, but closing and re-opening the screen fixes this. Also, if your computer has a video out connection such as HDMI or S-Video look at the F5 key and see if it looks like it might mention switching screens at all. If it looks like it does, hold the fuction (FN) key and press F5, give it 10 or so seconds, if that doesn't work, try it again a few times, waiting each time. If none of this gets your screen back, it is a hardware issue not a settings or user issue.

Test the laptop on an external monitor.
If you have picture it is usually a faulty inverter board on laptop.
Inverter is about $30/$50
If the laptop has no picture on external monitor, then usually the video chipset located on main board is faulty.
