    Toshiba Satellite A15-S157:
My hard disk crashed so I need to replace it and reinstall Windows XP Pro. As I lost all the drivers and I cannot find my recovery CD, I need to know what drivers were on the original recovery DC. Of course I downloaded already most from the Toshiba website but I cannot get the Wireless LAN mini PCI card going, driver 7.62.0.390 doesn't work. Can anybody get me a copy of the recovery disk please, or tell me the exact driver which is on the original disk?
    Thank you for your help.
    Al

You can borrow a cd as long as you have your own product key
or you can go to
bootdisk.com and make your own cd
please let me know if this solved
also in device manager write down your
display
network
and audio driver before formatting

You either have bad sectors on your HDD or the recovery CD is scratched. If your recovery CD is clean and not damaged then a new HDD should resolve your problem.
Hope this helps,

How i format a15-s127 notbook because it's corrupt.

1. Enter the BIOS - the key to press is written on the main screen, most likely F1.
2. In there change the boot order - put the cd first and the hard disk second - follow the instructions on the screen on how to do it.
3.Boot from your recovery disks and during install choose a full format.

Toshiba a15 s127 will not boot up cannot run recovery cannot get to bios

then it is a nice paper weight :-(

I would take it into a local shop to see if they can restore it. You might also try taking the hard drive out and putting into another computer to run the recovery.
