Question about Whirlpool Calypso GVW9959K Top Load Washer

I had the bitterest experience during the last 2 weeks. My whirlpool washing developed a leak on Dec. 30. Called the Kottayam office on 31st. A mechanic visited on the 1st of Jan. On the second it was taken to Kottayam from the suburbs of Kottayam brought it on 13th with a new problem the water overflows and therefore the machine does not start. Expenditure: transport Rs. 250/ repair charges Rs.3000/
We did not wash our clothes for 17 days. I need your help badly: especially your kind advice what I should do. The answer I got from the repair centre is that it will be repaired without giving any clue when the repair is done.
Two of my retired friends are building houses and they are visiting me every now and then to see the appliances they have to buy after assessing the performances of those I am using now. What should I say to them?

Every time I call the office, excuses pour out right away even without calling the repair centre.
A sample list of excuses. 1. The repair mechanic is not in.
2. The repairperson is sick
3. The repairperson is on leave
4. Nothing is done because of stock taking
5. Time is needed to dry the paint applied; the excuse on the 12th day
6. The spare is out of stock.
I am not happy with the repair because 1) The machine does not stop when the lid is open. Thinking the machine is stopped my wife tried to pickup a towel and the machine started to spin. She got a bomb on the knuckle. I understand they short-circuited the switch and the machine works whether the lid is open or closed.
2.) transparent panel cover is cracked and drops water creep in and I am afraid the touch switches on the panel will soon get damaged, which will end up in another 2- week repair schedule.
Please advise me what I should do. Tell me is it the kind of service I should expect from this world famous manufacturing company The Whirlpool. Please, please send me an immediate reply
No, this is not the kind of service that you deserve. I would call the Whirlpool Telephone # that is on your washer or instruction manual. I would report the store that has done this to you and let Whirlpool deal with them. Whirlpool may want to pull their products from this Merchant. While I had Whirlpool on the phone, I would advise them that I was going to call my attorney if no reasonable quick solution between the 2 of you could be reached. I would also let Whirlpool know that I intended on Calling the Local Better Business Bureau and report the Kottayam Authorized Whirlpool Dealership of the treatment that I had received from them. Don't make idle threats. They get you no where. Who knows, Whirlpool may end up giving you a brand new washer. It sounds like the float is out of it now, because usually when the water gets to the level that you have chosen; it should shut off. Good Day and Best of Luck to You. Let me know what happens, OK?
