The blower starts before its warm and it blows cold air for about 30 sec when its shutting down .

When any unit 1st come's on, you'll always have some cold air that's in the ducts that will blow out before you get warm air. If your duct work is uninsulated in a cold basement or crawl space then it will be even more noticeable. When the unit is heating from the Heat Pump mode, it takes a little longer for the gases to get warm enough so you'll fell heat. When it gets cold enough for the unit to switch from heat pump to the gas or electric heat source, you'll get warm air faster. If you have gas heat, some Thermostats have an anticipator setting for the gas valve. If it's set wrong it will effect the on/off cycle of the gas valve.
All duct work in non heated and a/c spaces, including inside walls, above dropped ceilings, in attics and crawl spaces, must be sealed & taped at the seams and joints and then insulated and taped.
Most new construction has solved that problem with insulated duct board, flexible insulated supply's and special tape.

Kenmore 253. I'm renting a house with this refrigerator. Freezer seems ok but fresh food spoils really fast - lettuce brown, berries moldy, etc. How should I adjust the refrigerator? Thanks.

maybe a door seal issue. Worn seals allowing fresh moisture laden air into the box. May not be getting enough cold air, try turning it down. Lettuce browns from oxygen contact, fresh air may be making it brown faster. May also be just how the unit operates.

Heater not hot enough

Sounds like you've got an air bubble in the system, that brass screw on the top is for bleeding out the air.

Ge tpx21pr side by side refig/freezer Freezer is not cold enough

If your unit is NOT a static condensor, (the type with cooling fins and tubes on the outside of the back of the unit) If the door seals are okay and sealing properly, you might need to service the forced air condensor components located at the rear lower area, usually behind a fiber board cover. Remove the cover and look for dust on the condensor fins and fan blades. If clogged, carefully brush, vacuum, or blow the dust out, opposite the direction of the fans natural air flow direction. (You don't want to lodge the debris further into the condensor fins.)..Be sure to unplug the unit first.

Freezer section not getting cold enough and ice maker doesn't make very many cubes.

this could happen due to a lack of freon. this means the freon cycle is no longer sealed. a repair is rarely possible.

but more likely i think that the Thermostat did stop working properly.

my DIY solution would be to shortcut the thermostat to see wether te cooling works at all. if not, the freon or the pump is the problem and i would throw away that unit. If it cools then, i would replace the thermostat.

BUT: since you normaly have full outlet power on the terminals i do not advise you to touch anything. this is dangerous and could lead to serve injury or death.

Maytag Gas Dryer MDG308DAWW doesn't blow hot air, no clicks heard

Look at the bottom of your front panel and see if you can see a screw on either side about 2-3 inches from the very bottom edge of the front panel. If so take them out and pull the bottom away far enough to disengage the top of the front panel from the top panel. If this works for ya. then now you have it openened, if not repost me.

Running High @ -10 C and should run at -20 C on coldest setting

1. Make sure the sealing gasket is making good contact all the way around. It's pretty easy to lose 10 degrees. If it is a magnetic seal on the door gasket, it may not be sealing all the way around.

2. If it is staying that cold, everything is working well enough. Maybe you need a little gas in the compressor. Time for the service guy.

By the way, is your unit speced to be that cold full of supplies? Is the door opened frequently? minus 35 is pretty cold.

My ge fridge is not getting cold. there is ice in the two top holes. the freezer is cold fine. i already changed the defrost timer.

First, defrost the unit fully.  If there is ice in the air flow channels, it can't cool enough.  Most cold air comes from the freezer area into the fridge by these channels.  Why did you change the timer?  Did you see if the heater element is continous and properly connected to the harness?
Did you clean out the condenser area?  If dirty or clogged, you won't cool enough.  Do that before anything else.  Is the stat set properly?
If the gas level is low, you won't cool enough to run the fridge portion....and you will get icing.  Check gas level:  Unit off at least an hour.  Start it and note the larger of the two pipes coming out of the compressor.  It should get cold, frost and then either dry out or get droplets of water on it after at least 10-15 minutes.  What happens sooner is unimportant.  If it stays frosted, you'll likely need gas.

Roper refrigerator leaking from pipe

hey moses, how old is the unit?? what it sounds like is that the unit is low on refrigerant, if the pipe that is cold is one of the coper pipes that are part of the sealed system. if this is the case there is not enough "gas" to keep it compressed untill it reaches the evaperator in the freezer compartment. Some units have a sealed sytem warranty for 5 or 10 years. parts and materials would be covered but labour is not. you need to be licensed to handle refrigerant so you will need to call a tech.if it is a plastic tube it is the drain and there should be a catch tray under it that allows the excess water to evaporate. hope it helps.
