If you're using the PC to charge your device be sure that the power button/switch if there is one is in the ON position. I know Craig MP3 players require that as well as several others. For some reason just being plugged in isn't enough. They have to be recognized devices and in the on position before a successful charge will take place :)

Good luck!

My Fuze wont charge its completely dead i plug it in to charge doesnt do anything it will not charge like its suppose to

Hi, you said it all, its completely dead, i suggest you get a battery booster to boost the battery before charging it, boosting the battery will make the charging more effective.

But if you are not still satisfy with the charging, you can get another new battery, but avoid the battery going completely dead before charging, this reduces life span of battery.

I wish you best of luck.

Insignia Pilot 80G MP3 player battery life

Hey General Chao,

Unfortunately, battery life can largely depend on how any given device is used - the louder the speakers or the brighter the LCD screen, the shorter a battery will maintain its charge. The 25-hour battery life quoted by the manufacturer may simply be an estimate based on the lowest possible settings for player volume, backlight and display settings. This means that the average user will probably encounter a significantly shorter battery life, especially when using maximum volume settings to compensate for ambient noise or other interference.

If you're still concerned, remember that you can always contact the manufacturer for further assistance at their toll-free hotline: 877-467-4289. Should your MP3 player be suffering from an actual hardware failure, Insignia may be able to provide you with additional trouble-shooting support or repairs if necessary.

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
Aaron

Well, charging the battery alot may cause it to malfunction. So you have to charge your battery only when in is near zero (empty), and for no more than 8 hours depending on what device you use. Now your battery is dead, so you got to replace it. Goodluck
