Question about Toshiba SD-4700 DVD Player
I have a toshiba dvd player model no. SD-K760SU and it will not load any of my dvds. I put them in the tray and then the player says "no." I am ok with opening the player up so how can i fix this?
SOURCE: Toshiba SD-K760SU
I found that the ribbon cable from the DVD tray to circuit board located in the middle of the chassis was loose. It only seems to be wedged into place. I inserted the cable back in and made sure it was wedged into place securely. I have had to do this twice now.

SOURCE: Will not play all DVD's
Try a dvd lens cleaning kit. This may help.
It could also be the laser itself. Newer DVDs require a very strong laser to read them.Older ones do not.
You can pick up a cleaning kit at Wal mart for about 10 dollars.Hope this helps
