Question about Maytag Neptune MDG5500AW Gas Dryer

LG DLG7188WM runs but no heat

I have a LG DLG7188WM, it's spins, but no heat, either on automatic dry or on timer dry...both on med high heat.

It is a gas dryer and gas is on and dryer vent is clear.

It's less than a year old and a tech came to fix it, got a E5 error, steam pump replace...but he was new and did not know how to fix it. I have an appt with a senior tech to come on in a couple of days. Does the steam pump need to work in order for dryer to heat up?

We have never used the steam function on the dryer before...ever.

I believe that it does. All of these parts should be functioning properly in order to dry the clothes well.

My DLG7188WM LG SUPER CAPACITY GAS DRYER IS NOT GETTING HOT

try going to either appliancepartspros.com or repairclinic.com for great repair videos. enter your model number and look for videos at bottom of page. generally you have one of about three issues: bad gas valve solenoids, bad ignitor(pretty common), blown thermistor (heat fuse). all pretty easy fixes. (top off, front off, everything is now accessible). good luck

Admiral Dryer Model #AGD4475TQ No Heat

This is very rare on a gas dryer but I have seen it. If you have already replaced all that other stuff I would say it has to be inside the timer. On one I worked on once I could remove that orange wire and the dryer would function ok so I ordered a new timer, they sent me a bad timer. Same problem. I finally got a working timer after going through a bunch of mess. That fixed it. So if all the other components are working it very well could be the timer.

"cooling" display won't turn off causing heating problems.

Try cleaning off the two curved metal bars (about 4 inches long) on the inside near the lint filter. They are what senses the moisture on automatic dry. When you use fabric softener sheets, the stuff from the fabric softener sheets can coat the bars, which makes the dryer think the clothes are already dry, and puts the dryer into cool down. (using time dry will also take the moisture sensor out of the cycle, if you'd like) This should be a Fix-Ya for your problem.
