Depending on how big your speakers are and how they were to the TV....that might be the reason. Magnets are the worst thing you can have next to electronics. It either that, or you bought a lemon, or you have a kid in the house and they put magnets on the tv for fun.
the tv has nvr shut off on me yet its been working perfectly fine jus irritating and frustrating cuz i jus bought it and its already showing spots bt when watching tv u cant tell its discoloring bt i would like to knw what is the best to bout the situation and best options on ways to avoid any problems and them getting worse and what would b the best way to connect devices together and what caused pixels to b damaged or how it happened or if thats even whats correctly wrong with my tv and if its possible that cuz the thirty days aren't up that i can take it back and if my two warranty is affected bt im trying to figure out how to upload a photo of how it looks for better reviewing

I have had this problem since about superbowl time. If I powered the set off, waited 15-20 seconds, and then powered on, it would work again for a while. Repeating this drill a number of times would lead to stable operation. We resorted to a course of turning on some XM music from DirecTV when we weren't watching. I tried a technician knowledgeable on this set, and it would have cost $500-800 to repair the set. We learned from different forums that the likely culprit was either the power supply board or the LCD controller. We also picked up the rumor that Westinghouse had quit making replacement part. It would seem that the management of this organization has a death wish. TO THE CHASE: shopjimmy.com is now selling parts from canibalized sets. They have a non-DOA warranty and a good return policy. A power supply from "Jimmy" solved my problem. I have one important hint: To remove the back, take out the obvious screws and the base. Then remove the ~5/8" rods that protrude from the bottom. There is a screw up inside each rod.

Unfortunately, we have the same problem. We hear popping and our sound goes lower. It is not the cable box for us, it's definitely the TV; however, it happens, on our set, after its been on for a few minutes and then goes away after half an hour or so -- however, this evening its been happening for the past hour and the TV has been on for the evening.

I called westinghouse with a similar problem(my picture shows up but all the white turns blue or somtimes pink).
they say the problem is similar to that of the xbox 360's red ring of death problem. Now what needs to be done is the unit needs to be unplugged completely for about 30 minutes. this allows the unit to completely cool down. and when the unit restarts and heats up the troubled connections will reflow and all will be fixed.
I tried this and it worked well for my TV. but it is only a temp fix and will need to be done again if the problem occurs.

I have had this problem now for about six months with my Niko OPT-3211W. After replacing the Inverter card, VIT70002.00 as suggested nothing changed. I then read that it may be a couple of capacitors in the power supply, but I do not have the skills needed to replace them, nor do I want to pay to fix it. The solution is simple... turn on the TV and wait two to five minutes, then turn off the main power. I suggest using a power strip. Then turn the power back on in two to five seconds. The TV will come back on and it works great from then on. I thought that it was a freak thing, but it keeps working.

There are two places to look for the problems, the backlight inverter board and the power supply. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.
