Question about Canon PIXMA MP210 Photo All-In-One Printer

1 Answer

After new compatible ink cartridge, "printer not responding".

I have a Canon MP210 printer. I changed the black ink cartridge to a new one (which I have done before) and the message "Cartridge not installed correctly" would not let me print. Tried restarting computer, reinstalling printer/driver, now message is "printer not responding". Changed the port to USB. Still no go.

Is the cartridge moving to the locked position on the right side of the computer when you turn it on....it must start from the preprogrammed position..

I have the printer cable connected to my laptop and i am trying to print a document but it says the printer is offline. The printer is turned on. I have tried changing usb ports and restarting the printer but still get the same message.

If I want a solution for my problem, I have to pay to get it? But if I solved it myself, you want me to give it to you for free?

My printer is canon pixma 210, i have just changed my ink cartridge, but i think its not recognizing the black ink. c is flashing constantly. what can cause this. if u can plz help me out,

Because the mp210 is a return to base repair, I have not seen them in the field. I am puzzled in why you have the letter c with the alarm flashing. As your problem started after you changed the black cartridge, i assume your new cartridge may be faulty and you should have it changed by your supplier. if you refit the empty old one and the message returns that it is empty then the new cartridge will be at fault.

Error 5 MP210 canon

Error 5 means a problem with the ink cartridges. Try re-seating the cartridges, ensuring the cartridges are compatible with the printer. If this doesn't work, sadly the only solution is to get new ink cartridges. Ink cartridges have a limited life span, and yours may have reached their end.

Canon MP210 getting E5 message with PG-50

Sadly Canon cripple many of their printers so that they will not accept the high yield cartridges such as the 50 & 51. As a result your printer the MP210 will only accept the 37 or 38 cartridges which are only half filled, or the 40 and 41 which are fairly full, but don't contain as much as the 50 & 51. All I can suggest is that you could try to sell the 50 on eBay, and send a strongly worded email to Canon.

Canon MP210 Third Party Ink Canon Does Not Work!

When the error message comes up, try pressing the "stop/reset" button and holding it down for at least 5 seconds. This works when I get an error message with compatible cartridges (only my error message says the ink is empty - and I know it isn't)

This printer will take either the PG-30 or PG-40 (larger size) cartridges for black ink, and either the CL-31 or CL-41 (larger size) cartridges for color ink.
