How do i change the camera on the computer to video instead of picture?

the video mode is only working when you activate it on a recording mode The AMcap from the start all programs does that ..
when you open it from My computer ..all it does is taking picture...
you can also use the recording mode from the windows movie maker (a windows built program present in all programs ) ...and all you have to do is choose import from ...cam ..(webcam) ..
also the video mode is automatically activated when you use it in a instant messaging program like windows live messenger or yahoo messenger ..or skype...in these cases is activated from the program itself..
You can use it in almost al capturing programs ..if you want to make a video capture...but ..either AMcap..(video capture) ..or windows movie maker ...will do the job just fine..

I want to take a video dvd from a hand held cam corder and be able to play the video thru my computer and project it to a large screen. I also would like to stop, pause, slow motion, etc. the video and be...

this could only be possible if your computer already have the video and audio "input" jack. For most of the computer only have the video and audio "output" jack. If you don't have that, I may suggest for you to upgrade your sound card hardware, that have the video and audio output jacks, just for you to do this.

I have no video player (as funny as that might sound) at home. I have a JVC GR-FX220A cam corder. The only means to tranfer a video I shot is through my Packard Bell imedia mc 2770. This I have never done...

Yellow: video.
White/Red: left/right audio to/from a "stereo" device.
White: audio to/from a "mono" device, such as the single microphone inside your cam-corder.

Connect yellow-to-yellow.
Connect white-to-white.
Tell the software on your PC that the input is "mono" (not "stereo"), so that it will "replicate" the single audio-input onto both "stereo" channels.

Kworld TV88x audio problem

How are you plugging it in to the capture card? Some cards are video only, You have to buy a card that does video and audio. Most have an adapter that connects to svideo, and rca. I would go with a usb unit. That is what I use. Thanks
