I personally do not like a bagless vacuum they don't have the power that a bag vacuum does if you want a good vac buy a Sebo or a Oreck these have a great warrenty and you will more than likely never by another vacuum. just Google Sebo and check them out

Dyson dc 47

Hey, this is Jeremy with Crucial Vacuum,

There are 3 potential reasons as to why your Dyson DC47 roller brush is not working:

1) The brush bar may be blocked by debris that was picked up by the vacuum. To remove the blockage, switch your vacuum 'OFF' and unplug before proceeding. Then, lay the vacuum down and try to remove anything that is lodged in the roller brush. If you still cannot clear the obstruction, you may need to remove the base plate to gain better access to the bar.

2) The roller brush may be set in a position that is too low for the type of surface that you are working on. Vacuums have different recommended heights when working on carpets and hardwoods. Try switching the brush "on" or "off" based on what type of surface you are working on.

3) If the vacuum cleaner brush is not spinning the belt might be broken, stretched out too much, or might have fallen off. Check the belt and replace if needed.

Can you advise which setting should be used on different floors, ie hard floors and carpets, theres 2 different settings and I don't know which setting should be used on the different floors

Turn the machine on and look at the bottom. Turn to the two settings. The setting that stops the platten wheel from moving is for hard wood floors. If you cant tell, then setting 1 is most likely for carpets and 2 is for hard wood floors. Your machine is primarily a carpet vacuum cleaner, so 1 should be for carpets.

Looking for manual for jones buttonmagic vx591s

This sounds like a Sewing Machine problem?

Perhaps we don't have an easier to see slot for this problem?

It is ending up under 'Vacuums'-- and I wonder how many of us in Vacuum's know much about sewing machines?

Please try re-listing your problem-- and let me know if you can (or can not!) find a better department to report your sewing machine problem in?

My manual says it is DC07, but it is pink and silver in colour. I have 2 problems, firstly the brush has stopped spinning, but belt appears intact. Secondly there are tiny holes in suction pipe near...

Hi there,
The DC07 came out in a few different variations so the colour only indicates that yours has a hepa filter. The first problem can be caused by a few different things
1. the brush roller bearings are worn or siexed.
2. The clutch to motor belt is brocken or off the drive shaft (this model has 2 belts but only one is visible without pulling the head apart.
3. The machine is set to hard floors (check the dial on the front)
4. The clutch is faulty.
I have made a video called
How do I check the clutch or brush roller of my Dyson DC07?. (video)
Folllow the link to my website and choose that video, it will show you how to fix all these problems. The same video will show you how to replace the internal tube as well.
If you need to purchase any parts for your dyson check out nelson vacuums or vacuumspot.
Finally if this is a helpful answer please rate it or better still leave a testimonial.

Im looking for a service manual for Rainbow E Series Vacuum - where can I purchase one?

You can get the schematic for the E series here, http://www.elkypro.com/hoops2005/vacuum_parts/rexair/E-2.html There are actually two different models of E series model E-2 vacuums.

If you have any more questions let me know. I am a Rainbow seller, and a Rainbow expert also.

Thank you,

Vacuum doesn't pick-up dirt

It's probably not picking up because the belt is worn and stretched. With a new belt it will pick up a lot better. Here is the belts you need:

I have a roomba 435. I've had it for about 3 months, it had been working great until it started to sound a little different (louder). Now I noticed that it doesn't pick things up, it just pushes them...

Hmmmm....I know exactly what this is... Think back...the last time it was used when it worked...did it pick up something like a sock or get stuck somwhere?????? If you look on Ebay, it is polluted with this model Roomba. There is a gear that strips. I'm sorry to tell you that this is your problem....I know this for sure. If you are handy, you can take the unit apart and replace the gear but you better buy a few! It is just a poor design....Sorry
