Bobbin problem with Singer Quantum 9910

Has anyone else been having bobbin problems with the Singer Quantum 9910 sewing machine? I bought mine 3 years ago and have taken it back to the shop about 10 times with the same problem Each time the technician says there is nothing wrong with the machine. It is driving me crazy!
The bobbin will suddenly start rattling around in the bobbin holder and, if I keep sewing it will jam up completely. I know I am threading the machine correctly.
Recently it has started another problem which is : I will be sewing and half way through a seam (without me stopping sewing) the bobbin stitch will go all loopy!
This is driving me insane. I think it is a design problem with this model. What do others think?

I have the same problem. Mine is about 2 1/2 years old and sewing along happily, the bottom threads turn into a tangled mess. It also jams up with the needle in the fabric, it takes quite some fussing with to get the needle out of the fabric. Now I can't get the bottom thread to sew tight, I've adjusted the tension, but can't seem to get the loops tight across the fabric. I have no idea what the heck to do, since the stitch will be visible from both sides on the project I'm working on.

Thank goodness I'm not losing my mind! The rattling bobbin is the reason I have had mine in the shop. Just today though, The foot peddle stopped working. If you jiggle the foot peddle plug that goes into the machine it stops and starts. Now the bobbin is rattling again and I am so frustrated. Just a matter of time before the thread jams into a wad again. I have only been using this machine about 18 hours total.

    Help!

I have a singer Quantum 9910. I would like to buy some extra bobbins. What number should I use?

Take your bobbin to the fabric store. They can help you find the right one. Most Singer machines only use 1 of 2 designs. It is either TOTALLY flat, or only slightly curved. I think the #s are 515 or 55, or something very similar like that. I bought the wrong ones once and had opened the package and lost my receipt before I got back to the store so I just left them to donate them to their sewing classes for beginners. Good luck

Why stitches on top are great but bottom are loose and loopy?

Check your upper threading. Make sure it's between your tension discs. Remember loops on bottom, something is wrong with upper threading/tension. Loops on top something is wrong in the bobbin area (like the bobbin being in upside down or a loose bobbin tension spring)

start by rethreading the top thread with the presser foot UP.

My bobbin jumps when sewing, i have used the correct singer bobbin

plastic bobbins can get burrs, remove your bobbin and run your nail around the edge of the bobbin... if you feel it click you have a burr... get your emery board out and use the fine side to smooth it away. Same with any of the other plastic parts under there.

I have a Singer 9910 machine and I cannot get the thread tension correct. Every time I try and sew it bobbin thread is showing on the top.

Turn the tension knob to the left. Look at your manual and if you cannot find it, go to singerco.com and download it. Do not turn the knob too much each time or you will get it all messed up. Just a small amount each time.

Hi I'm trying to get some new bobbins for my Quantum 9910 and have found some 66k bobbins which they say fit all singer machines. Is this true or do I need a different type? Thanks

The bobbins are generally interchangeable between singer models.

You have to watch out for the bobbin case though as this is the one specific to model families.

Hope this helps.
