Why can't it find any live streams?

When you say live streams, as in video I assume, so I would guess your internet connection is live and working. You may have to reload your program being used to stream, need more information.
Good luck, FREE-VSTREAMTV.com

I have a Roku 2, live in the country and am trying to play a movie. It keeps stopping a reloading. what is wrong or what can I do?

Roku is an excellent streaming media player, but is ultimately limited by the delivery rate of your ISP's (Internet Service Provider's) continuous download speeds, used for streaming over the internet. ( Check what kind of speeds you're getting...) Go to http://www.speedtest.net/ and click on "Begin Test" There are a number of websites you can use to check your connection speed to see if this is the source of the issue.
Most often, a slow connection, (under 300kbps) will cause the issues you've described. The slower the connection, the bigger the problem. This is most observable on Roku channels that don't detect, or compensate for slower connections, especially at high definition streaming rates.
( 720 High-Def streams work well above 1.5Mbps download rates, and 5Mbps is recommended as good rate for 1080 viewing)
At just under 3Mbps over DSL, we're able to watch two movies at the same time, in different rooms, on Netfix, at 720. I've heard that some people are experiencing issues watching just one movie delivered with a cable modem... Not sure what's going on there?
Some Roku Channels are better than others at delivering the best possible viewing experience. Some use poor compression technologies, or only deliver a 1080 Definition image. Using the best compression technology, detecting best streaming rate, etc... are where the most successful Roku channels come in.
Netflix for instance attempts to detect the optimum streaming rates for slower speed connections, and automatically compensates by reducing image definition when needed.
You might try selecting a lower definition for your display from the settings menu on your Roku device... I've seen some improvement with loading issues, by choosing a lower definition display for your television, even though you might be using a high-def television.

Hello, so I have an XBOX 360 with an XBOX live gold account. My internet streams perfectly fine on my laptop, but when I sign onto my XBOX live account, I get disconnected every five minutes!!! I even...

If this is the case, you may have broken your xbox live policy terms, most of times you will be kicked off xbox live perminately if you: flash mod your xbox, in other words, modified your console's software illegally, illegally downloaded xbox games, stole xbox games, generated your xbox live game codes, used inappropriate language on live chat, went to illegal sites on explorer browser, or hacked your xbox. Xbox live will cancel your subscriptions, if any of these policy breakers have been introduced and detected by the xbox live system.

My Sony Bravia HDTV 3D Internet ready will connect to Internet but will not stream a movie ?

Chech the setup instructiond once again for this type of connection. If you cannot get a signal connect the RJ45 internet cable to a laptop to see if you can stream on that device. If no, then check to see if you can actually access the internet, could be a bad patch cable. If you can access the internet and stream on the laptop then it can be a bad RJ45 input sloth in the TV audio visual board. It would need to be replaced. Do this one step at a time. Finally if you cannot stream on the laptop or the TV , this could be a low signal data stream provided by your ISP (Internet Service Provider).

We would like to buy the Edirol V8 video switcher for live internet broadcast. I need to know if this is the correct product for us. We have 3 cameras and a projector going into the switcher and then it...

Dear crane_editor,
For broadcasting the video signal coming from the V-8 over the internet you need to have a computer that is equipped with a composite or S-Video input card. Additionally you might need an audio input as well with the possibility to delay the audio to have a live stream with lipsync audio and video.
Roland has launched a new product recently which is actually designed for live streaming applicatons like this. It's called VR-5 AV Mixer & Recorder. This device has a USB streaming output for easy connecting with a computer. The computer will recognize the VR-5 as a USB audio/video class device (like a webcam) so your setup is ready in minutes.
Further the VR-5 is equipped with an audio mixer (with delay for lip sync), built-in preview screens with touch select, PC VGA input, media player and AV recorder (SD card).
Probably the VR-5 covers all of your needs, without the hassle of difficult configuration of all kinds of separate devices.
Kind regards,
Kees

I m unable to watch live tv on my cell phone nokia c2-01 3g

Hi,
I believe you did not follow the right setting that was why you were unable to watch live television on your phone please follow the setting given below and you will be to watch the live tv on your phone.

The Hauppauge Digital Broadway Box can be a small stand on your own gadget that connects to any Television signal and streams live Television wirelessly to your cell system.

Television signals could be connected to the box via: cable Television, satellite set top box, antenna or TV coax cable. Once the Television source is attached connect the box in your Wi-Fi network and then open a browser on your device to begin viewing from http://distan.tv

I am not able to connect to internet but my status is showing associated with router.Signal strenth is good. There is 2 RED X N BOTTOM right corner of PC......have tried to fix with all solutions given

My guess would be a virus that enabled a proxy on your browser. In Internet Explorer, try going to Tools -> Internet Options. Then go to Connections->LAN Settings and make sure "Use proxy settings" is unchecked. Also, while you're there try checking Automatically detect settings at the top portion of that menu. Select okay and see if it works for you.

RCA Thomson digital cable modem internet light is flashing and no connectivity. Is it the modem or the internet service? Comcast was less than helpful...

looking at the internal modem page.usually:192.168.100.1. on your browser.explorer works best for this look up. you dont need internet access for this. once inside you can look at signal strength coming from the street and signal going back. if its out of spec.then that needs to be corrected. Note :call your provider and ask for down/up stream
specifications. also weather or not your modem is ( EOL) End of life.
Good Luck.

Streaming audio/video quality can be affected by connection rate and Internet congestion. Many types of interruptions between your computer, your player, your computer's OS, your local network, your ISP and a streaming server can exist and cause trouble....
When you listen to the live audio/video stream, the sound or video skips, cuts out or buffers if the player doesn't have enough network bandwidth, it will buffer. Try increasing your player's buffering setting. Also:
  • Make sure you are choosing the appropriate bandwidth version of a media stream based on your Internet connection.
  • Make sure you are choosing the appropriate bandwidth settings in an Internet media player or streaming audio/video recorder.
  • Make sure NOT to download applications or files while watching/listening to media streams. Your Internet connection is shared between all open applications including your web-browser, your download manager and your streaming player. Closing applications that use your Internet connection simultaneously with your streaming player may reduce buffering.
  • Close other unnecessary applications that may be open on your computer. Reboot your computer. If you have lots of other programs open, they may be using too much processor time and/or RAM for the player to work properly.
  • Make sure your Internet connection is fast enough to reliably listen to streaming audio and/or watch streaming video online. High speed Internet connection is recommended.
  • Make sure your computer is fast enough. If your computer is old, it might be too slow to play an audio/video stream regardless of what else it's doing.
  • Update your media players and streaming audio/video recorders regularly.
Internet congestion can slow down the delivery of the stream, make it difficult for you to connect or cause buffering. Often the interruption is temporary. Please try to connect a few times at different times of the day, if possible. If you repeatedly have problems connecting, please notify your ISP - there are often quick fixes they can make when they learn about your issue.

Try the above steps you will find a solution to your problem....100% it will work.....
