Its faulty blower motor resistor. The low and medium speed on blower motor is controlled by resistor and its actual speed is high. So because resistor is not working, blower motors actual speed which is high is working.

It can be faulty blower motor or faulty blower motor resistor. Get the blower motor inspected. If it's faulty it has to be replaced.

98 buick century turns over wont start

Rose, Can you hear the fuel pump 'buzz' for a few seconds when you turn the key to the 'on' position? Is so. and I know this sounds crazy, but try turning your heater fan switch all the way to the high position and then try cranking it. Another Buick Century owner told about this in another forum and it works for him and others. Apparently there is a fault in the computer and the electrical current draw from the heater fan has a positive effect on it. It's worth a try. If this works for you please post on this site so that others may benefit. Thanks

Imy 98 buick is overheating the water comes out from the pasenger side inside da car..right under the glove box

That is where your Heater core is located. Its like a little radiater that your vents blow thru to get hot air for heating your interior. If thats leaking, its not gunna stop. Take this car in right away before you run your coolent dry and trash your car.

My 98 Buick Le Sabre heater blower works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. You just never know.

Sounds like a bad heater control switch OR bad connector to the motor itself. I'd try your local salvage yard or EBAY for a replacement switch. Good Luck. . .

I have a 98 buick lesabre. I am a woman and have no clue whats wrong with it and cannot get straight to the point answers of what is wrong with it. When i drive it, it gets hot, my windshield fogs up,...

your heater core is leaking. It is allowing engine coolant to enter the passenger compartment via the air conditioner / heater ductwork. A cheap temporary fix is to purchase a radiator stop leak product and have someone put it in your radiator. Follow directions carefully, as the coolant can be very, very hot and under pressure. The correct repair can be quite expensive. In warmer climates you can bypass the heater core and run without a heater.

Heater stopped blowing on 98 Buick Century. Digital display stopped working a long time ago but the Goodyear shop didn't have a clue. Can't afford to take it to a dealer and need help figuring out what it...

See if the blower motor will run with a wire ran to it from a 12 volt supply from the vehicle. If so the blower relay needs to be checked to see if it is the problem,if it checks out, replace the control head, the part that does not light up anymore. If the motor does not work with 12 volts ran to it,replace the blower motor.
