Re: the digital clock seems to be set to 24 hr insted of ...
The clock can be set to display time in a 12-hour or 24-hour
format. The clock is set at the factory for the 12-hour format.
To change the clock to 24-hour format:
1. Press and hold the CANCEL and Delay
pads for three seconds.
2. Press the More+ or Less - pad to select
12 or 24 hour.
3. Set the time of day following the

Press 0 (Set up options) and then 4. Then press Auto Set (on the right of the clock) to change the setting. Then press any touch pad except Cancel to exit the setup menu and save the change. (Alternatively, press 0 and 9 followed by Auto Set and another key to return all features to the Default. 12-hour time is the default for the Jenn Air range.) Jenn Air has the manuals for most of their products on their support site, http://shared.whirlpoolcorp.com/product_literature/search.jsp?siteCd=JA_EN_US . I looked at the manual for the JES8850AAB which is available here: http://shared.whirlpoolcorp.com/assets/pdfs/literature/Use%20and%20Care%20Guide%20-%208113P367-60.pdf. The information on setting the options is on page 12 (page 13 of the PDF). Note you'll need Adobe Reader or a similar program to access the manual.
To correctly proceed you have to know the format the timer program is working in. SO you need to know
1Time format IE 12 hour AM - PM or 24 hr military time
2If a day, date is required M-Sun...or IE Sat 12th of March...(some times this is not a peramiter needed)
With the clock and calendar set the delay time should require a "timed mode setting" prior to being able to set the timer. Once in this mode you will have 1 of 3 ways to set the time delay depending on how the timer is set up to read your instructions.
1 the actual time of day it is to start (set in actual clock time like the equalivant of 3:05 PM or if in military time, 24hr clock 15:05)
2 the actual delay time until the program is set to start (again set in hours and minutes 2:10 = 2 hours and 10 minutes from now)
3 also is the stop time, when you want to program to end (also set in the format the timer is programed to recieve instructions)
Also the calendar could be waiting for input as to which day to start the program
That works, to change from military 24 hour to 12 hour format press and hold the clock button until it beeps and changes the displayed time, e.g. from 20:01 to 8:01. This worked on my Kenmore Elite Range. If you get the dreaded F1 error, you'll likely have to replace your clock timer board.
bake and broil feature not even responding to touch???? its one component " the electronic range control" clock assy. after trying to unplug and possible resetting the control. i would say youll need to replace the control unit.
