Exact same problem with this tv. Picture will kind of pinch out to black and sound will go static...then sometimes it will come back, sometimes I have to wiggle cord, sometimes I have to press power button.

TV cuts off w/o warning & power red light blinks continuously. Can cut TV back on but will cut off again. Sometimes it does this every few minutes and sometimes, especially in the evening, it will...

This may seem like silly answers but...
1. Be sure the power supply is plugged in all the way and that it is not damaged anywhere on the cord all the way up to the TV.
2. Be sure the Sleep Timer is not activated. You wouldn't believe how many times this is actually the case.
If these end up not the case then it is very possible that the safety circuitry in your TV's board could be going out. The TV is shutting it down due to it finding a problem with the circuitry in the TV. Most of the time people choose to replace the TV with a newer model as it is just cheaper to replace it than to have it repaired. This usually only happens in older TV's although I have seen it in TV's as little as 4 years old.

Sony KV-35S66 Audio ok but no Video

Is your picture somewhat weak ? This could be a problem with the picture tube . One thing you can try is to turn the screen control up just alittle at a time to see if the picture comes in . Once it does turn off and back on to see it it comes back on again . It might take 10 to 20 seconds but if it does your picture tube is weak . The control is on the flyback transformer it is the bottom control . Or it may be on the crt board on the picture tube . One thing to check once the picture comes is the video input . If you go to this mode and see faint white lines might want to try to turn the control down a little more to see if you can get them out and the picture stays on , if not thats how going to have to watch it . These picture tubes are expensive $500.00 to 700.00 depending on which one you have . One possible other thing if you tell me the picture was a great picture almost like brand new check the horizontal section for a loose connection as this will cause this problem . Don't get shocked and be carefull , Good luck

Unless you are savvy with IC's you are going to have to go to the repair shop my friend. The crappy part is that the IC has a price tag of about $10.00 but a repair shop is going to nail you anywhere from $80.00-$120.00. Sorry for the bad news but it happens.

T.V WILL NOT STAY ON: JVC AV-27F702 27" TV

This sounds like a protection system cutting in. This happens if there is a major fault and continual use would lead to a fire risk.

I think I already answered this question but here it is again. Your problem while watching cable tv sounds like a bad tuner with little or no adjacent channel rejection. The problem with the DVD and I think to some extent the cable sounds like a video processing problem. This unit has digital video circuits and could easily cause the problem you describe. The easiest and probably the cheapest solution would be to replace the board with a refurbed unit. Two companies which sell refurbed boards are PTS Electronics, Bloomington, IN (www.ptsinc.com) and Tri-State Module, Evansville, IN (www.tristatemodule.com). Good luck.
